EXPLOSIVE NEW CLAIM: SMITH CHOKED ON HER OWN VOMIT
http://www.accesshollywood.com/news/ah3965.shtml

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (February 8, 2007) -- According to a credible source, an employee of Anna Nicole Smith found her in her room in the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The employee pulled back a sheet and discovered that she appeared to have choked on her own vomit.

The same source claims that Smith took what was referred to as a "children's sedative," and had "kept passing out" before her death.

AccessHollywood.com has learned from this same source that one of the attending physicians at Memorial Regional Hospital was Dr. Randy Katz. When we contacted Dr. Katz, he acknowledged that he was indeed an attending physician, but Dr. Katz would not comment on any specifics related to his care of Smith.

13. uh, no. I care about the fact that inane information like this is considered more important than
things that are really important.

That's why I responded.

15. I have to agree with Harper_is_Bush that it's important to set priorities.
Now back to Elizabeth Edwards' light bulbs, if we may.

Edited on Thu Feb-08-07 11:55 PM by Harper_is_Bush
the question of:

"Do you change your bulbs NOW, or wait until your incandescents burn out?"

That always was, and still is, the jist of that thread.

Do not make me bump it LoZo, cause I will!

EDIT: Here is the link for those wanting to know what LoZo is raZzing me about (or if you want to bump it!)

I very politely asked the question as "duer".

A smart lady like that surely knows what's correct.

26. I am familiar with the snickers ad controversy in which a bar was utilized as a sexual conduit.
I agree that it was poor humor, but it ain't worthy of any comment.

Why not ask it as a private citizen because last time I looked at that toxic thread, you are pretty much on your own in your quest for her to change her lightbulbs. It isn't a topic that DU'ers have embraced.

10. How much of a limit exists on your empathy?
Why don't YOU siren out a headline about them? No...it's easier to point out a perception of a shortcoming then to actually do something.

Fucking mark.

14. Jeebus.Get a grip. Troops dying don't mean Anna's death is unimportant. Life is life and it should
not be treated lightly and respected whether that life is Anna Nicole Smith's or a soldier. They have equal value.Unfortunately, celebrity gets more notice but Anna's death should not be treated contemptuously because she was famous. If one does not care about her life I doubt that one cares about the soldiers either.

22. I never said I didn't care about her life....
What's breathtaking is how many people are "mourning" the death of someone they never knew, and who made little impact on their lives other than being a little puff of pop culture cotton candy.

I'm sure her friends and family are quite devastated, as they should be. But to read half the threads on DU about ANS today, you'd think someone who had a real and significant impact on contemporary society died.

It's not so much a commentary on ANS, as it is a commentary on the poor, foolish people who mourn someone they didn't even know, who have to glom onto some vapid pop-culture icon in death so they can dramatically "grieve" her death. THAT's the psychology I can't understand.

32. isn't choking to death on your vomit a sign of a drug overdose?
Given the timing, I would say the claim that the death was purely accidental has the burden of proof.

33. No. When I had pneumonia in the hosptial, was running a high fever,
and had tachycardia, I started vomiting uncontrollably and had to be intubated. There is a nerve (explaine to me later by a doctor) that causes this when one's heart goes out of beat. While I'm sure it can be caused by an overdose, I am equally sure her high fever could have messed with her heart causing the same result.

41. Not necessarily.
In shock pulmonary edema you foam and froth at the mouth and can sometimes be mistaken for vomiting by some. I am not sure where the story originated so that is always a possibility of what was going on.
The possibilities are limitless as to what happened and why.
I think we would be best served to wait for the coroner report...but we recently lost a new mother to this ailment when her baby was 3 months old.
Couple recent childbirth with recent pneumonia and the reports that she has had some flu-like symptoms in the last couple of days...this isn't a farfetched assumption.
