Friday, February 9: Allegations of Waste, Fraud, and Abuse in Pharmaceutical Pricing: Financial Impacts on Federal Health Programs and the Federal Taxpayer

The goal of the hearing is to examine whether there are fraudulent, abusive, or wasteful pharmaceutical pricing practices that affect federal health programs such as Medicaid, Medicare, and the Public Health Service “340B” program that should be the subject of additional congressional oversight.

8. So long overdue.....

all of these hearing are so long overdue. They are almost overwhelming to wrap our heads around the corruption. However, I'm so thankful for them. We just need to remember to take care of ourselves while all the abuse is exposed... I am increasing my meditation and down time.

Cost estimate Part D in over next ten years in the Trillions

16. they are stating a thousand ways of fraud

there's absolutely no transparency.

i.e. the only way you can see what competitors pricing for a med, is to look at the ins. companies website and what "they" claim, keeping in mind THE PHARM. CO. WILL NOT GIVE OUT THEIR PRICE DUE TO "competition" purposes. So we are actually looking at a guess as to what the pharm. co price is.
