they were dressed in pink." she is on diane rehm's show now and a member of the protestors who occupied mccain's office just called in saying the wapo hasn't covered the protests on the hill.

how long has Code Pink been around, karen?

diane said her "friday roundup" show is now 2 hours long by listeners request.

guests today are tumulty, david corn, and larry scheib.

www.wamu.org to listen on line.

1. That show is worth listening to. Good call ins and e-mails and
the interplay beteen Corn, Tumulty and Scheib was pretty revealing. Scheib was the Wall St. Journal Repug talking mouth defending Bush and dissing Dems ever so slyly and Tumulty was her usual word parsing..."well we don't know" and Corn at least had his info straight.

Corn said he didn't think protests would make much of a difference on the Hill that it was better to put pressure on things locally. None of them ever said WHY the MSM refuses to cover what Code Pink is doing. (It seems they think that "protests do no good...so why do people bother." Yet they loose sight of the fact that if they covered the issues that the protestors are trying to bring forward there wouldn't be such a need to protest.

BTW I thought Diane did a good job of sticking to issues and getting most of the weeks important events politically discussed. It's worth a watch for DU'ers who want a round up. With all that's going on it's hard to remember the sequence and importance of all that's going on because we get such a "jumble" of facts ...bits and pieces on the internet.

Thanks for posting.
