I'm watching one of these crime stories, where these two detectives from Memphis are trying to pin this guy down b/c they believe that he's a murderer. The guy is ducking them by saying:
I DON'T RECALL. (Where have we heard THAT before??)
The detective says: "There's too much at stake for you not to recall. I'm not going to let you 'not recall'.
Why don't the House member say that to Gonzalez et al.? It's a great line. instead...they just sit there and stare at the witness.
I think that even if Gonzalez was held in a small room with two way glass and was questioned by members of Congress who were packing he'd still say "I don't recall." He's slicker than a greased pig.
