Why don't some on DU get it that we can't think about only the IWAR ALL the time? The ANS story is
a "break " for most Americans. Many can relate to her,(She wasn't a rich heiress or pop princess) and her death rightly disturbs them.It also may be a murder mystery and thus is riveting.People can not just think about and protest the war continually. And all the media coverage cannot be just about the war.Actually, the more the war is covered the more Americans will become immune to it.ANS prodides a contrast.I would like a little less coverage of her death but it will soon fade and maybe the media could put a human face on the WAR and make that coverage relatable!

1. I don't think it's a big deal, either
The public had already turned against the war; that won't change if it's not on 24/7.

2. Also, her young son had just recently died under....
weird circumstances and she was only 39 years old.

3. A "break?" I think it's sad, a tragedy, but a "break?"
I guess we've become a very voyeuristic society. I'm a bit sickened at the talking heads, telling tales about her, speculating about what she thought and felt, and showing film of her over and over and over again.

Now, supposedly, the circus has another ring--Zsa Zsa Gabor's HUSBAND is claiming to be the father. And the judge is saying her body must be kept on ice until Feb 20.

It's all so undignified. And it looks like she has precious few who really care about her.

A little LESS coverage would be a good thing. But hey, on the bright side, there are a few people that I can think of, off the top of my head, who are THRILLED that she died:

1. The diapered astronaut
2. Tim Russert
3. Scooter Libby
4. Dick Cheney

4. Why not discuss it in the DU Lounge then rather than up here.?
If it was in the Lounge maybe folks would go there if they wanted to know more. But, it conflicts with all the breaking news verifying the BFEE that we've been hoping would finally come out. That makes some very resentful of either having to "hide thread" or wade through all the ACS postings.
