Feith, Libby -- just more noise. No results.
I am so fucking sick of the status quo. Every day we hear damning new information about Cheney's shop of criminal horrors. Every night many of us watch the revelations analyzed on Olbermann's Countdown. We hear about how "serious" and "troubling" these revelations are and how they implicate the vice president.

But nothing ever happens. Ever.

So pundits, please, don't insult my intelligence with ominous-sounding talk of serious revelations and potential trouble for the vice president.

1. I'm a tad more optimistic
I truly believe that one day cheney and bush will be held accountable. Unfortunately that day may be the day they die and go knocking on the pearly gates. Eventually they will bump into justice and have absolutely no clue what to do.

2. Write a letter to Nancy Pelosi. Tell here to step down.
She is a danger to our democracy.

5. Just stating the obvious.
She has made it abundantly clear that he has no interest in protecting the Constitution.

That's a very bad thing, don't you think?

8. Yep. Impeachment is "off the table."
It's like an police officer starting a shift by saying "arrest is off the table."

Sick stuff.

15. And talk about weak...
To let a nimrod "reporter" corner her into saying something so outrageous?

Time to the Dems to flush this turd.

9. No, I agree. She is on an huge ego trip. When Pelosi took
impeachment off the table I was done with her.

She proved she is in bed with * when she invited him to the "Democrat" retreat this past weekend. She should step down and pay her own commercial fare back home.

12. I was almost done with her, thinking she just might be
feeding the beast to win the election, but no. No more benefits of doubt for Pelosi.

6. Are you implying that I am seeking instant gratification?
That I should be more patient?

Please let me know, so I can respond.

13. 3117 dead troops didn't get gratification, did they?
The voters in November showed they were out of patience unfortunately they elected foot dragging more of the same.

Aren't we somewhere in the first 300 hours and there still is no action to stop this BushWarofLies?

17. Ahhh... so I'm responsible for Bush/Cheney**'s crimes because I point out...
...the harsh reality that politics creep along excruciatingly slowly, and that it's foolish and self-defeating to give up hope over that?

Just want to clear that up.

NGU.

7. This is part of why it's absolutely essential to have Articles of Impeachment against Cheney.
The nay-sayers claim it's only useful if the Senate convicts. I say bullshit.

All the pontifications of pundits will evaporate in the annals of history to mere background noise. Absolutely none of it will have an effect whatsoever on future elected politicians or the public at large. If anything, the 'success' of this regime in engaging in the most criminal and anti-Constitutional activities in our history will merely embolden future autocrats in their predations.

Articles Of Impeachment, at the very least, form a historical record of the abject cowardice, complicity, sloth, and corruption in the House and Senate as well ... should the Senate fail to remove these criminals.

It's always "pragmatic" to do "The Right Thing" even if the pragmatism doesn't appear evident in the short-term. Our ability to foresee consequences makes "pragmatism" a poor substitute for principled behavior ... at best. Mostly, it's a foxhole for moral cowardice.

16. Bravo!
It is the constitutional responsibility of this Congress to impeach this appointed twosome. Conviction is the second step which can never be reached if the first step is NOT TAKEN.
