BREAKING: Bill O'Really will not be speaking at National Center for Missing Kids benefit!
Edited on Fri Feb-09-07 04:17 PM by originalpckelly
" In response to the numerous e-mails and inquiries we have received, we are providing the following update regarding the Collier County, Florida branch fundraising dinner scheduled for March 9, 2007 in Naples, Florida. Bill O’Reilly, host of The O’Reilly Factor, will not be a speaker at the dinner. The dinner will be held as scheduled. John Walsh, host of America’s Most Wanted, will be the keynote speaker.

We would like to thank everyone for their comments and e-mails."

7. He is a disgrace. I hope what he said about those innocent
children haunt him for the rest of his pathetic career.

I loved listening to Catherine Crier. You can tell she's just disgusted by him.

Then again, who isn't?

8. I'll bet those "comments and emails" included a lot of people
withdrawing their support from the event and maybe even the organization itself.

I couldn't understand why they didn't cancel Billo the day after he made those horrid remarks.

39. He said he thought that kid who was recently rescued from the
kidnapper pedophile probably stayed with the guy because it was fun, and because there were not as many rules as at home.

40. remember those two kids that were kidnapped recently? One held for years, the other days?
(I'm sorry, I'm afraid that's all the detail I can remember)

Anyway, O'Reilly said that he didn't believe in Stockholm Syndrome and if the kid who was held for years didn't escape, it had to be because he was enjoying it and didn't want to go to school.

12. John Walsh SHOULD be the keynote speaker.
Even before making the stupid, insensitive and incorrect comments about Sean, O'Reilly had NO background in child abduction or the law or ANYTHING that had to do with missing children. He's a fucking PUNDIT!

Why was he the keynote speaker in the first place?

26. Because for the most part
He talks tough about child abuse and likes to go after people he deems too lax in pursuing child abusers, etc. But once again just like every republican blowhard, he couldn't even keep up such a simple facade and revealed himself to be the hypocrite he is on the issue.

Board Of Directors. Mr. Foley was the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children Chairman and there are some people on that NCMEC Board that have disturbing political and criminal histories

15. now if the Nobel Peace Prize nomination is
withdrawn from Club Gitmo Gear's creator my life will be complete. To blame a child for adapting to hideous circumstances for survival is beyond the pale. O'Liely is the type to blame the female Iraq refugees who have turned to prostitution to survive in Syria as enjoying life beyond the burqua. Whata third rate looser.

16. Thank You!
It's one thing when the nutjob goes on and on about people who place themselves in the public eye. When the poor kid went through what he went through-well, let's just say I think he should be faced with more than just getting booted from a charity event.

the people who invited him as speaker should resign in shame. period. and that would be true even if he *hadn't* made comments about that missing kid enjoying his rapist's company.

25. Wonderful news!
Wasn't Mark Foley associated in a big way with this organization?

They have done wonderful things to help children, but Center for Missing and Exploited Children needs to become more discriminating about who they allow to be spokespersons for them.

33. YES!!
BUT, and here's a BIG BUT.. Isn't there a VIDEO on YouTube of John Walsh talking to Foley and saying how HE'S THE GREATEST?

I swear I saw that Video during the Foley Scandal, and I'm pretty damned sure it was John Walsh.. if he's that Clueless, it's nearly as bad..

Anyone know of that Video or have a link?

I was On O'Reilly's show once, went head to head with him, and I'm MORE Glad than SOME :)

Thanks to ALL OF THOSE WHO WROTE! And to KO for kicking ORALLY'S ASS :)
