BREAKING: Fred Thompson will announce his candidacy today at 4:30pm EDT

It's official: Fred Thompson will formally enter the Presidential race today, with an announcement to be made at 4:30pm.

For all who have waited for this for months -- here you go.

He's finally putting his money where his mouth is. Word is that he is making phone calls to supporters as we speak.

ok - so if you look beyond the sneer, the smarmy look, the I know better than you attitude you might see a few more brains, but not so much.

we've already been through one reign of error - do we really want another?

think of it as a smore - the republics thought the first 4 were so great they wanted smore... but in the 7th smore they are finding it's not so great. so what are they going to offer? smore of the same...
