Question - What organization supplies our troops w/body armor & is looking for donations?
My son was telling me about the high quality of "dragon skin". He said that our soldiers do not have access to this type of armor. I'm hoping to find a group that supplies this armor to our troops.

1. So far only high ranking
individuals are allowed to were the skin since it has not been approved by the pentagon, anyone not authorized as a "Test Subject" will not receive death benefits if KIA wearing it.

2. Interesting. If it's good enough for the brass - why not the troops?
Thanks for the reply. I was just about to kick this before bedtime. I'm frustrated, saddened, depressed at what our our sons & daughters are being subject to. I thought I might be able to sponsor a soldier, or donate to the provision of decent protection.

5. Probably a kickback thing,
like everything else seems to be.

Saw a couple guys modeling them on TV about 2 years ago, think they were retired military, and they both were giving the pros and cons of each, I think it was PBS.

If I were still in I would want the Dragon Skin, it can take multiple shots where the normal ceramic plates shatter after the first shot.

The Gov spends Billions testing equipment and they do it on their own schedule, troops be damned.

Israel has an anti RPG device working but we won't deploy it, meanwhile development continues on Raytheon's system thats at least five years out.

4. in memorium
14 Dec 2006 - It is with heavy heart I write you again. Less than six months ago we communicated in order to acquire helmet inserts for the out of Miramar, CA. before they deployed to Iraq (Sept 3, 2006). These Marines were very thankful for the liners designed to give them extra protection. We had many conversations with our son while he was in Iraq and he told us once his vehicle was struck with a small IED and said the liners definitely helped. He compared it to a similar IED hit in Aug of 2003 in which he received a purple heart. But on Monday evening our lives were changed by the ringing of the doorbell. We were informed that our son, Cpl Matthew Dillon, had been killed by a large IED explosion along with three other of his fellow Marines. Two other Marines are in our prayers who are in critical condition.

Thank you for the info about the helmet inserts, this looks like a place to give money.
