Sombody please put the "This Week" roundtable out of their misery...
Wow, what a nerdfest of colossal egos and out-of-touch Inside the Beltway-ism.

Cokie Roberts should have retired years ago. George Will is one of the top five biggest dorks on earth, not to mention he's just an arrogant dweeb anyway. He's like an older smarter Tucker Carlson. Then the other semi-regulars are plain bad too. Fareed Zakaria has a few redeeming opinions from time to time, but he is so status quo indoctrined he wouldn't know a unique opinion if it hit him in the head. Sam Donaldson is pretty solid, but, honestly, I don't ever learn anything new from the guy.

None of them ever say anything all that worthwhile. They just regurgitate the same stuff over and over and over, that has been on every other show pretty much all week. It's a major waste of time, not even worth listening to at all. What they say is not even relevant. Stephanopoulos will have an interesting guest on and be giving a solid interview then he will cut it off to talk to these clowns. It's infuriarating.

Honestly, just get rid of the whole segment, please!!!!

1. Personally, I think the same could be said
about all the punditocracy. The internet has made them obsolete and the only ones who don't seem to know it is them.

7. there are like a hundred "insiders"
who think they set all opinion for the whole country. They sit around, call each other, go on shows and "debate", write columns etc and believe they know it all. All they do is rehash arguments and make points on topics that they are wrong about probably over 90 percent of the time. The punditocracy is pretty much worthless.

2. I cannot stand Cokie Roberts' voice; she always seems to need to clear her throat.

She is insufferably arrogant, IMO, also.

4. And I STILL don't know how she survived at ABC
after getting busted for faking the live broadcast from the White House.

6. the word dumb probably gets tossed around too easily
because many times a person is not dumb, it just so happens when someone has a differing opinion and feels strongly about it, they can view the opposite viewpoint and the people who hold it as stupidity. However, with Cokie Roberts the word "dumb" could never be used enough. That she thinks she is some type of political genius only makes it worse.

8. I like how Timmy refers to the Libby trial
as if he is an observer. Hey, asshole, you had to testify at it! For a few years now that guy has been talking about the Plame situation like he is simply an journalist witha passing interest in it. He was neck deep in the mud of the whole thing and he and his guests would never bring it up, even after the news broke. Weird stuff. That's what happens when journalists start thinking they can buddy around with the people they are suppose to be holding to the fire. You get no separation, it's all just status quo bootlicking.

5. Fareed Zakaria = Newsweek columnist who said Democracy would become obsolete
Thanks to global capitalism, the liberty of people to do things
financially with money, would make Democracy obsolete, and that
rights (of individuals) were less important to the survival of
Western civilization than liberties (of capital).

He was very explicit about it in his book and accompanying editorials
"Was Democracy Just A Moment?"

Which few have commented about. No adverse repercussions existed for Fareed.

9. Fareed Zakaria says give liberty to capital - ? - a lot of billionaires thank him for
kissing their ass.

Yep - as long as the wealthy have freedom for their money, there is no need for democracy annoying the rich by now and then electing progressives, electing Dems despite the money the rich give the GOP.
