Why does * keep insisting "no war with Iran"?
When every day, it becomes more and more apparent that he plans on doing exactly that? We keep hearing about Iranian weapons finding their way into Iraq. I'll grant that there may be some truth to this, but how much do you want to bet that our intelligence is stretching that as far as it can? Just like it somehow turned aging mustard gas shells into "deadly stockpiles"?

Even if we don't actually invade Iran with boots on the ground, any military action against Iran would be disastrous! There is already a high level of dissatisfaction in Iran towards the government. Instead of encouraging opposition, *'s action would merely help unify Iran against us. Even though we don't buy oil directly from Iran, many other countries do. By disrupting - or halting - that supply, there's no way that such an action wouldn't have severe repercussions. Not only that, but Iran has the capacity to really inflict serious damage on our forces in Iraq, as well as US interests worldwide.

What the FUCK is this asshole in the WH doing? If one single bomb lands on Iranian soil, * and Cheney should be arrested and removed from office.

...but they forced us into it'

And the suckers will buy it because they will see quote after quote saying he did not want to...

8. Because he's presently sending a 3rd Carrier Group to the Persian Gulf.
Bush and his evil PNAC loving crones are going to bomb the shit out of Iran IF CONGRESS DOES NOT WAKE THE FUCK UP AND ACT NOW!!!

We are so screwed if Congress does not step up to the plate and withdraw two of the three carrier groups A.S.A.P.

We will truly embrace "Apocalypse Now" if the Idiot King is permitted to bomb Iran. :nuke:

17. From Newsweek article....
But the fact remains that the longstanding war of words between Washington and Tehran is edging toward something more dangerous. A second Navy carrier group is steaming toward the Persian Gulf, and NEWSWEEK has learned that a third carrier will likely follow. Iran shot off a few missiles in those same tense waters last week, in a highly publicized test. With Americans and Iranians jousting on the chaotic battleground of Iraq, the chances of a small incident's spiraling into a crisis are higher than they've been in years.

19. If you listen to what the WH is saying -
There is no plans to INVADE Iran. That doesn't preclude bombing the shit out of them. I would argue that bombing is, in fact, an invasion of a sovereign country...but I have do doubt that the WH is defining this term "invade" to mean putting US ground troops in a war with Iran.

The question that needs addressing is...what happens after we start bombing Iran? I suspect that our troops in Iraq will suddenly find themselves in a vice with Sunni's and Shia joining together to rid themselves of a common enemy. This will be yet another war crime for the Bush-Cheney ledger book. Congress needs to make it clear that bombing Iran is putting our troops in Iraq in mortal danger and that will be grounds for immediate impeachment.

27. He has his three shells lined upon the table in front of him...
...he moves the "no war with Iran" shell over to the left, then he moves the "we gotta protect 'Murica and the only way we can do it is kill their asses" shell around it, and then he move the "I didn't really say that" shell around both of them. reverses his actions and does them again.

29. Combination of the "clean air" initiative, plus the "mean dog" argument
First ... almost everything that Bush says will be contradicted by his actions ...

Second ... a comparison: You get an adorable puppy, raise it well. Next door neighbor kid is a holy terror. You never get to document the kid torturing the dog. Yet, one day, the dog finally snaps and bites the kid. Neighbor kid tells Mommy and Daddy that your dog attacked him for no reason. Authorities force you to euthanize your dog.

Right now, Bush is continually poking Iran with a stick, trying to provoke a reaction, so that Iran can do something, and he can sit there and say "See? I told you that Iran was a threat! Nuke 'em!"
