Did you see the news today?
the powers that be are preparing for their ultimate dream, Iran, and complete hegemony in the middle east. Never mind that they can't do it, that you can't force or murder a population into "Democracy" they are undeterred.

Did you see the news today?

Iran is supplying the weaponry that is killing American lives!!!!!!!!!! It's not the President or the Vice President or the Neo-cons or the naive or calculating senators that got is into this war and keep us in this war that are killing our own and "aiding the enemy" oh no, no, no it's

IRAN.

Fox of course, today. Pictures of proof. Nic Robertson on CNN in Baghdad showing the components of the bombs.

So this is the plan. Keep us in Iraq long enough to blame and drag Iran into it.

And then WHOMEVER we have in office, EVEN if we win will be forced to go along with the NEXT WAR. The reps we have now are not up to the challenge of stopping this madness now. By 2008, whatever the Bush cabal is up to it will be too late. A reminder folks, the evil doers in the White House won't be out of there until 1/20/2009. The congress and senate we have NOW are only hope.

And next up on the news, IRAN is promising a big speech in April about it's NUCLEAR PROGRAM. Is even Obama or Clark going to be against stopping them? We know Edwards and Hillary won't allow Iran to have the bomb. Of course no one ever points out that a nuclear program isn't the same thing as nuclear WEAPONS and that countries have the right under the non-proliferation treaty to have nuclear power. Of course we will NEVER ever believe Iran. And damn that president is nuts. So that's enough reason for a war right there.

It's just a disturbing morning to wake up to this.

1. Very disturbing
And you have had republicans out on the cable news networks over the last week stating that bush is the commander in chief and if war in Iran is called for, it is his decision and not the congress. As the republicans only work off of talking points issued from the whitehouse, I think war with Iran is inevitable...especially in light of these new "revelations" put out by the media today.

2. It reminds me of the pre-Iraq war rhetoric ramp-up

It is like a nightmare one can't wake up from.

All this seems so familiar:

Iran supplying Iraqi militias with deadly weapon, U.S. believes
By Michael R. Gordon Published: February 11, 2007

WASHINGTON: The most lethal weapon directed against U.S. troops in Iraq is an explosive-packed cylinder that U.S. intelligence asserts is being supplied by Iran.

The charge of an Iranian role in supplying the device to Shiite militias reflects broad agreement among U.S. intelligence agencies, although officials acknowledge that the picture is not entirely complete.

The intelligence is not complete! REALLY? Also another website said that this Michael R. Gordon wrote some of the pre-war propaganda for the NY Times on IRAQ that were dead wrong, some even with Ms. Miller. I didn't research that myself.

Pentagon blames Iran for 170 US deaths
By David Blair, Diplomatic Correspondent
Last Updated: 5:22pm GMT 11/02/2007

America today blamed Iran for the deaths of 170 US troops inside Iraq, accusing Teheran of supplying insurgents with increasingly sophisticated bombs.

A photo of a roadside bomb released by the US military today. The US claims the device was made in Iran for insurgents in Iraq
Senior defence officials in Baghdad said that Iranian-supplied "explosively formed projectiles" were frequently being used against coalition forces.

They said the "highest levels" of Iran’s regime were responsible for giving them to Shia militias in Iraq.

These bombs are specially designed to penetrate heavily armoured military vehicles and are capable of crippling the US army’s main battle tank, the Abrams M1.

They have killed 170 US troops since June 2004, according to the American officials. They added that some weapons have been captured and they bore the hallmarks of having been manufactured in Iran.

Many were made as recently as last year – ruling out the possibility that they could have been left over from the many arms caches scattered across Iraq by Saddam Hussein’s regime.

The "machining" on the weapons could only have been completed in Iran, the officials added. They said that only the "highest levels" of Teheran’s regime would have authorised the transfer of these arms into Iraq.

A US helicopter was lost north of Baghdad today – the sixth to be shot down in the last three weeks.

The Apache attack helicopter was reportedly struck by a surface-to-air missile. There is no evidence that Iran has supplied weapons of this kind.

The latest allegations against Iran came as the Teheran regime delivered mixed messages about the future of its nuclear programme.

3. If you don't want the US to start bombing Iran
You need to start writing your congresscritters. Now, and continuously. Start a drumbeat of your own.

Democratic Leadership favors being tough on Iran. They may make noise against escallation in Iraq, but most have already come out in favor of hitting Iran.

NYT and CNN have already started their drumbeats. Have you started yours?

6. But what about Saudi Arabia???
It would be nice if just ONE reporter would ask this question to the administration in this run-up to this new war with Iran but I won't hold my breath.
