I must look a lot like the cowboy in the last picture since I am sitting here in my barn responding to you in between stalls to clean. With the exception of course, that I am a woman and I have on a stocking hat and a big coat. Come summer the cowboy hat comes out and the coat goes off.

17. The Snow glistened like diamonds in the full moon which bathed

Gull Bay and Sydnie's house in its cold white light. The wind and
sun had changed the snow pack to little ridges that caused the grains
of snow to bump up and down as a cold breeze hurried the ice crystals
across the field.



Sydnie lit the fire in the master bedroom and then set up a table for two
by the window. She put the bread and beef Wellington back in the dutch
oven and placed it by the fire to keep the food warm. The salad and pie
stayed on the table next to the pitchers of water and red wine.

She heard the crunch of footsteps on the cold snow and a rap on the
front door which she jogged to open .......

The embers of the fire were just barely glowing as the two drifted off
to sleep. A gentle snow fell outside and inside a her den across the
meadow under a fallen oak tree a mother Bay Air and cub snuggled.
