Pat Robertson: "Giuliani Would Make Good Prez"
Edited on Sun Feb-11-07 05:44 PM by Quixote1818
For those of you who think Giuliani is NOT going to get a warm reception by Republicans. Think again! As Robertson sees things: "As long as he's "our" pro-abortion presidential candidate, he's okay".

Robertson still hates John McCain. In my opinion Guiliani is the one to beat! This is an old article but I haven't heard of any change of heart from Robertson yet.

Pat Robertson: Giuliani Would Make Good Prez

Christian Coalition founder Pat Robertson raised eyebrows on Sunday when he heaped praise on former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, saying he'd make "a good president" despite his liberal positions on gay rights and abortion.

Asked if Giuliani would be an acceptable 2008 presidential candidate to Christian conservatives, Robertson told ABC's "This Week:" "He did a super job running the city of New York and I think he'd make a good president."

"I like him a lot - although he doesn't share my particular point of view on social issues," Robertson explained, before calling the twice-divorced Giuliani "a very dedicated Catholic."

Roberston noted that "Rudy's a very good friend of mine," adding, "He's a great guy."

2. You know it's a bad political moment when a moron praises a thug.

Pat Robertson is to Christianity what Rudy Giuliani is to public service, which is to say, one's a moron and the other's a bully.

Talk about yer ethical vacuums...

4. LOL so basically
ofr the Christian Coalition you don't even have to be right wing on social issues as long as you can deliver the money to Pat. This shows him for what he really is.

8. On Sept 10th 2001
many of us here in NYC couldn't wait to see this pig out the door...then.... ANY mayor, who was worth a damn, in that situation would have been seen as a hero. Sept 11 does NOT make Rudy any better a man than he was on 9/10/01.

10. What so many forget
What was Rudy like on 9/10/2001, 9/10/2000, etc. How many New Yorkers will remember? A lot, I think.

6. The RWers are desperate
that's why they're embracing Giuliani. We love our field of candidates; they find their choices less than overwhelming.

9. I agree, I think they are starting to worry about "electability" lol.
Too bad Rudy's too much of a colostomybagslurpinga-hole to actually make it into the Oval.

Well... actually... you never know, do ya?

and very easily influenced. They will vote against their own economic interests and even against the "moral" and religious interests that they proclaim are so important to them. This was proven very recently in California when they came out in droves for Arnold. They'll do it for rudy too if they're told to.

11. This shows his hypocrisy, unbelievable
They tried to portray the democrats as the spawn of satan and they proclaimed themselves the party of God. They gave us these labels for supporting the same positions on abortion and gay rights.
