The car illustrated in the second group of photos doesn't look like something an Arab would depict. It looks like a 1970's American car.

I wonder what a test of the paper's origins would show.....

Iraq isn't Cuba. They've imported plenty of autos in the last 20 years despite the embargo & besides I doubt there are many '78 Dusters still running on Arab St. if there ever were any.

What's point of the alleged "manual"? There's no instruction, no how-to, no diagrams, nothing informative. Just gory images that look good in the Western press. It reeks of pure propaganda.

What's the source of this manual? I hope there's a better source than a US military source because so far their batting average on truth in the last 4 years is about .002.

14. Interesting to note that in the pictures where the

perpetrators of torture are depicted, they do not have beards, and yet most of the depicted victims have full beards.

The growing of a beard may not be mandatory, but it is certainly encouraged for fundamentalist Muslims.

My take is that if anything, these are drawings meant to describe what could happen to a Al Qaeda member if caught, perhaps as propaganda against those that oppose them or as a warning to those that would join (what they must be prepared to endure).

In any event, from these meager drawings, its impossible to say that this is a "how to" book on conducting a torture session.
