Is The Weekly Standard a right wing rag?
I am listening to last friday's washington journal and Brian Lamb's guest is some guy by the name of Ferguson with the Weekly Standard. They are discussing Obama and he was smirking about Obama announcing his presidential run in Springfield, Illinois...he had said it was 20 degrees there and apparently too cold for him so he decided to watch it on cspan. He also made a snide comment that some people will do anything to compare themsleves to Lincoln. He said that after he wondered why someone would announce in all the cold weather asking people to attend.

3. Yes.
Its vile contributors include the nauseating likes of Bill Kristol, e.g. :puke:

6. Because he from IL. And we love the cold LOL
He MADE SPEECHES WHEN IT WAS SO HOT YOU COULD FRY AND EGG on the pavement. He made speeches when it was raining. This man is the real deal I know we where with him. You know the way a chill will come over you when you hear the real thing. He did that to me every time. And I was stomping for Kerry. If anyone get the chance to hear him do it you will see and feel what I did.

8. THE premier Neo-Con publication
started by Kristol.

However, I was surprised that Ferguson had positives to say about Obama.

Ferguson has done a book review of both Obama books, which is floating around the web.

The review is mixed, but respects the writings & intellect of Obama.

Unlike the rest of the rightwing, Ferguson treats Obama seriously, as a real contender.
