SENATE CENSURES HOWARD GOVERNMENT ON IRAQThe Senate has passed a no-confidence motion against the Government of Prime Minister John Howard over its policy on Iraq.
It is the first time the Senate has passed such a motion.

Howard was yesterday censured by the Senate for misleading the public in his justification for sending Australia to war with Iraq.It was only the fourth time in more than three decades a sitting prime minister has been censured and the second in Mr Howard's seven-and-a-half years in office.
