2. In O'Reilly's mind, they have a long-running feud
Ludacris was probably just thanking him for the extra publicity.

10. So that brings to about 1032 the number
of people O'Reilly is fueding with, right? I think he starts one of these fueds whenever his ratings dip. His audience is built on rage. The rage-oholics watch to get their rage (the only emotion they have left, apparently) ramped up to feel alive. And O'Reilly delivers.
Al Franken. George Clooney. Keith Olberman.
Pretty good company, I'd say.

4. I think he was thanking him for attacking him, Ludicris, and thus
driving his album sales up and drawing attention to him (Ludicris).

5. He was being sarcastic
Bill O'Reilly went on a crusade to destroy his career a few years ago. He show gathered enough pressure to get Pepsi(or Coke) to cancel a deal they had with him. I was dissappointed when he thanked Oprah in that same sarcastic vein. She did criticize some of his lyrics but she also had him on her show and praised his acting in Crash.

15. I didn't see the show, but that's unfortunate that he would include Oprah
in the same sentence. I remember his appearance on Oprah. He was quiet, reserved, and look uncomfortable being there. Other than that, Oprah has no reason whatsoever to have him on her show. She has a right to reject rappers whose lyrics don't necessarily fit in with her show topics.

6. Totally tongue in cheek
BOR tried to shame some companies that used Ludicris in commercials into dropping him as a pitch-person.

Basically all he did was elevate Ludicris's profile, ergo the "thanks/shout out" to Bill.

9. Sometimes I think BO must be in on this
Seriously, I've wondered if anybody on the moral majority side of things is secretly getting a cut from musicians for all the free advertisement they give them.
