Why does my firewall protection continuously show popups from
...googlesyndication.com and googleanalytics.com everytime I come into DU and post or view anything? What business does google have looking at what I'm doing on DU?

1. Dunno for sure

but I suspect DU uses Google to serve the advertisements. They look to see which group or forum you click on, and serve the appropriate advertisement.

2. The ads on DU are provided by Google.
The messages from your firewall are in response to the web applications Google uses to push and monitor advertising. You can ask your firewall to allow them if the popups bother you or make it block them entirely.

3. It's because DU has Google ad links, and Google is trying to count how many times
those ads are seen.

That's my guess. I don't think it's anything sneaky.

5. If you use Firefox
you can install the CustomizeGoogle extension and anonymize those cookies if you decide to allow them through your firewall.
