3. It's okay--more stilted than my favorite shows
I prefer my comedy more realistic, like The Office. I also feel like someone is dumbing down Tina's writing for mass consumption.

5. The show is funny as hell if you know how to take Tina Fey.
Her humor can be very abstract and you have to be on your mental toes at times to catch it, but I absolutely LOVE HER. I even crack up at her American Express commercial. But, humor is a matter of taste and I can understand some people not getting into "30 Rock". Hell, I have no idea how Adam Sandler got where he is today. Ha!

The show is a jewel, but it has to be given time. And, sadly, even with time I'm not sure enough people will "catch on" to how funny the show really is. I hope NBC sticks with it for at least one more full season, or two..or more!

6. I saw it once - keep meaning to again - just somehow keep missing it....
... since the advent of reality shows, my tv watching has been limited to mostly just sports. And AD. And Scrubs sometimes.

8. Guess I'll add Al
to the "Losing Respect For" list. Tina Fey is not funny.

First Jerry Seinfeld, now Al Gore....only two more reasons to love the show. Thanks for the heads-up!

10. "Check out my clever dialogue." "No, check out my clever dialogue."
"No, I've got the most clever dialogue." "But I say it the fastest." "No, I say it the fastest." "Watch me pout." "Watch me sneer." "Watch me react to the cue music." "I react better than you and my dialogue is more." "No way." "Way."

God, that show is soooooooooooooooooooo annoying and sooooooooooooooooooo predictable.

13. I understand valerief. It's the same reason I never watched Seinfeld.
There were times that I thought he was funny, but then it became like, look at me, everything I write is funny! I tried watching Seinfeld several times and he had a good supporting cast, but the I just couldn't get into the storylines and after a very short period of time his voice got on my nerves. It's just a different taste in humor. Now Adam Sandler, nah, that guy doesn't have a funny bone in his body. Got lucky picking some good movies with great supporting characters. I'm off topic.

Tina Fey, I think you write witty, intelligent dialogue and I'm looking forward to seeing Al Gore on 30 Rock!

15. I never thought Seinfeld was going for witty at all. His characters were whining, like most
Americans. That was where the humor was. Their whininess and neediness and self-centeredness and pettiness. Like most people.

12. and which comedies do the haters prefer?
the one where the kids are smarter than the parents or the one where the fat husband is married to the hot chick and is a schmuck? 30 Rock has some clever writing and a lot of anti-bush sentiments. oh the things i'd do to tina fey:evilgrin: and for the record, i loved Still Standing in which a fat guy schmuck married jami gertz. there's room for all sorts of comedy out there.

14. Of course.
The episode where Alec Baldwin's character is shown flubbing a corporate video presentation was hilarious.

At one point, he's supposed to say "product integration," but says instead, "Racial integration -- wait, that's not it."
