Rep. Issa, Repug was clearly an embarrassment to the country today at the Waxman hearing! IN

Addition to spouting off over and over at the hearing, he was a quest on Wash Journal this am---One thing he said was that ….the hearing was a Witchhunt and "grandstanding by Waxman on the behalf of Pelosi"!!!


Issa was probably the worse, but other Repugs were not far behind. Shays spent his time giving Blackwater free ads---constantly praising their record---repeatedly saying NOT one person BW was protecting has been hurt or died. I did not hear him mention the Iraqi civilians who were killed, which was what the hearing was about!

10:52 a.m. Representative Mica, a Republican, just pulled a fast one by calling for the committee to adjourn because it is premature and meddling in the ongoing investigations. A vote was taken. On television, it sounded close, demonstrating how much the Republicans didn’t want this hearing to happen. But the Democrats had the edge. We’ll be here for a while.

10:40 a.m. Blackwater is clearly a partisan issue, a Republican made clear by attacking the Democrats that spoke so far. “This is not about Blackwater,” Representative Issa said. “What we are hearing today is in fact a repeat of the Moveon.org attack on General Petraeus’s patriotism.”

10:44 a.m. “This is about accountability,” said Representative Cummings, a Democrat. This will be a frequent refrain today.

11:23 a.m. Representative Issa reclaims the microphone on a mission to uncover hypocrisy. He ask whether the committee had investigated the crash of Commerce Secretary Brown’s plane during the Clinton administration. Chairman Waxman promises to send him the report………

……..1:41 p.m. Representative Issa is back to poke a hole in the report put out on Monday by the House Oversight Committee staff, which is led by Chairman Waxman. He has a problem with the short bio provided on page 5. It unfairly paints Mr. Prince as a political operative , Mr. Issa contends, by committing two of six sentences to describe the political activities of his sister and her husband.
He’s on a roll — and ready to dispense a question soaked in sarcasm. “I heard rumors that someone in your company had given to the Green Party,” he said……..

he was on Wash. Journal and said that Waxman should remember that when he goes to Iraq, Blackwater will guard him so he better watch what he says.

But this does a great disservice to children since they don't know better, lack maturity and wisdom but have a lifetime of growing up to do, during which time they do acquire that maturity and wisdom (to varying degrees). However, this pathetic soul should know better, and still lacks maturity and wisdom even though he's had a lifetime to grow up.

It is particularly striking that this fellow, whose only accomplishment in life is learning the fine art of killing, has managed to finagle a billion-dollar "contract" from marketing his "life skills."

4. Wasn't Issa a car thief in his younger days?

I know it never came to trial, but he claims his brother was the thief. Yeah, right. They never change. He made his fortune selling car alarms, something he obviously knew a lot about by stealing them. He's scum and a liar. He should be in prison, not congress.

Might be investment through BW's property acquisition for the new training facility.
Don't have a link, but another poster spoke of Issa's vested interest in keeping BW from being investigated. It was posted on one of the BW hearing threads from today.

Issa is a crooked Bush crony. He's protecting BW. There's millions to be made.
