PlameGate: The Death of American Jouranlism
Bob Woodward & other members of the chattering class were tacit co-conspirators in one of the more sinister cover-ups in the Bush administration: PlameGate

In a sense, it was Watergate in reverse. Instead of digging for the truth, lots of journalists tried to bury it. The sad fact remains the press was deeply involved in the cover-up, as journalists reported White House denials regarding the Plame leak despite the fact scores of them received the leak and knew the White House was spreading rampant misinformation about an unfolding criminal case.

1. Dear God, yes! Even while they were quacking like ducks about
the who-ruined-Valerie-Plame "mystery," HOW MANY of them already knew the answer - and just sat on it?!?!?!?!?

Sold their souls, outright, for their precious access. As a former reporter, I am BEYOND ashamed of this, and of them.

2. Typical Bush strategy: involve possible whistle blowers or regulators in the crime.
Keeps them quiet and/ or involved in the cover up.

4. Amazing that journalists would be so protective of a criminal president's election
and would go out of their way to disguise and distort the information that should have brought about his impeachment in 2003.

All these journalists and even Dem strategists protecting the Bush WH for 16 months before election day is the real problem this country faces.

5. Complicit in crime, and lying, lying, through their teeth.
I feel like the devil came to our country and everybody in a position to get bribed, took the offer and sold their souls.
