Red State rants about MSNBC coverage of SCHIP

cootie site:

Somebody(-bodies?) at MSNBC is a lying coward who thinks you are stupid
oh, and the media *has* no liberal/anti-bush bias. Remember that!

In the dining facility here in Kuwait, "Hardball" was on the TV (yes, at least 2 hours of MSNBC are played on Armed Forces Network-News channel, including Matthews and Olbermann).

For the entirety of a ten-minute segment on SCHIP (featuring Pat Buchanan and some Air America (fe?)male, the graphic on the page exclusively said, "Bush Vetoes Kids Healthcare."

That's it. That's all. Pathetic.

1. I would rant about that from Kansas
Every M$M report I see claims that "Bush wants to increase it by $5 billion" and instead of reporting that "this is not enough money to maintain the program at current levels" they preface it with "Democrats say ..."

As Krugman said "Bush could claim that vanilla ice cream is chocolate and the M$M will never tell the truth about the ice cream, at best they will merely report that 'some Democrats say it is vanilla'."

Apparently there are no such things as facts, merely partisan controversy.

BTW, some red-staters think tweety is a liberal. I totally surprised our county's new vice chair when I told him that Matthews had endorsed Giuliani on the Tonight Show. The media's liberal bias right there :argh:

2. I was particularly struck that Rachel Maddow
was referred to in that way by Red State, which is supposed to be somewhat intellectual, and by Tweety's silence during the debate last night between Maddow and Buchanan, even going so far as to nod his head in agreement with Maddow's excellent points. She is the best debater out there in tee vee land, for sure.

3. I'm glad to hear that Olbermann is on the Armed Forces Network
At least they get a little bit of the truth to the troops.

4. Hey, I was going to say that! Makes me very happy, indeed. Especially
his coverage the past 2 nights of the VoteVet gentleman and his ad against Rush. Our military needs to know there are people out there who really care about them.
