2. Mars, bitches!
Only because somebody had to say it.

But, of course, 9/11 changed everything.

And somebody had to say that, too.

7. Bunny pants
needs to invade Mars. Who knows what threat to National Security lurks beneath the surface of the Red Planet. THere might be Communists there. It's not called the "Red Planet" for no reason.

Invade and conquer. We wouldn't want Hugo Chavez to claim Mars for his socialist ambitions. We need to secure Mars and make it a democracy that will be sympathetic to the US.

Shit, there might even be oil there.

14. Geez
I can't see too many hot chicks signing on to this. Of course the RW women might decide that Mars is a good place to shop. Maybe Ann Coulter can lead the charge.

Wal Mart needs to get going and open a store there.

NASA Earth-Sciences missions have been nearly bankrupted.

No more pesky Global Warming data to fret about.

Courtesy of Bush's un-funded mandate, which I call, "No Astronaut Left Behind."

behind closed doors that Mars didn't have any oil, people who tried to kill his daddy or WMDs. So the plan was given up rather quickly.

17. Mars?

For way less than the money spent on the war so far we could have had a Mars colony - with a rest stop on the Moon.

And there would still be enough money left over to do many good things.

22. When shrubco proposes something that they weren't serious about, or was a big flop, they pretend it
never existed, or that they never said it.

Mission to Mars? Never serious, just something for a speech. (Contrast to JFK and the space missions.)

New Iraqi flag design that looked suspiciously like the Israeli flag in appearance and color scheme? Never mentioned it again and pretended it never existed.

Karl Rove is in charge of New Orleans reconstruction? The only thing they were trying to reconstruct was Bush's reputation and that was a failure. They didn't even let this one come out of the mouths of the administration, it was "floated" by anonymous Republicans via the New York Times.
