1. Don't believe this poll
The MSM has lately been covering her a lot lately, so this *might* be the reason for her boost.

But I don't believe this poll.

4. It's intriguing to me how candidates get their boosts in the polls
Has she said or done something different recently?

As far as I can tell, the only difference is that the MSM has been covering her "chuckle."

A valid reason to vote for someone. Yeah right.

5. Well you missed a lot. There has been a debate. She rolled out
her health care plan and she appeared on all the Sunday political shows and many appearances

Hell of a lot more than a "chuckle"

Plus her opponents continue to sink their own ships

6. Its name recognition, pay attention to how many times you hear...
her name compared to any other candidate. Try and compare it to hearing Kucinichs name...35,000 to 3. The polls reflect the amount of media advertisement each candidate gets, look at the top three in the polls compared to the names that have been on the MSM from the start. I bet if you asked someone who doesn't follow politics, who they think would win Clinton or fill in the blank, their answer would be Clinton and not because of what she will do for the country either.

11. Are you kidding?
I hate to tell you but the candidates only have name recognition among political junkies right now. You might want to compare the ratings for American Idol and Washington Week in Review. Hell it seems like once a year someone comes out with a poll that shows half of the people can't name the sitting vice president or their own congressman. It's name recognition.

15. I dont know what business you all are in but advertising does work.
If you read the post, its about the advertising of the candidates. If 5 stores sell the same kind of products, most have heard of all of them ( so they have name recognition )but a few get non stop national advertising, their numbers will be higher. If you don't do any advertising in your line of business, try it out and see.

Your response is fine but please refrain from the insult part, I don't think that is what DU is here for. All it does is make me want to give my response and then ad in my own personal attack on yours, I think we can all do a little better than that. If we could all do a better job at that, we could probably educate more people and pick the best candidate for our future instead of acting like monkeys in a cage slinging shit back in forth.

14. as of 2:02 a m 10/7 it is Clinton 55% would vote
for her and 40% would not. Now I know this will change over night and the day of Sunday but as of now that looks pretty close to what Clinton would defeat Rudy by....That poll I believe was 51 to 43.....

One thing and I know many do not concern themselves with polls but it is a good snap shot in time of your candidate and as of now according to 2 separate polls HRC's negatives are below the 40% mark at 39% and her favorable is over 50 at 51%. So HRC is steadily gaining ground.....
