Pelosi on FOX saying she prays for the president
One dumb RW talking point after another. She prays for the soldiers. She prays for America's children. And she prays for the president every day.

39. She needs a transplant
then. Since Nancy's such a pray-er then she should know that the pray-ers out here are praying that she gets a mainline injection of good 'ol courage.

I don't pray to whatever but I'm thinking positive thoughts that our country will survive in spite of Nancy and our other so-called leaders who are acting like pod encased zombies.

I'm hoping the forces of Justice will see this through, eventually..it's certainly taking it's sweet-ass time.

21. Maybe the problem
is in your comprehension, not my expression.

She is free to pray any way she likes, and she is free to discuss it publicly. The same holds true for you and me.

She in no way attempted to put religion in government. If you are really concerned about that issue, you should focus on Republicans who attempt to do exactly that.

But your personal attacks and lame insults show that you have no other argument than just ranting.

23. Maybe our ideas of comprehension don't mesh....
First off, we need to toss out your red herring. I never once said she *was* trying to legislate religion into laws. Those were your words, not mine.

Let's try this:

Nancy Pelosi is a government official. She 'prays' for other government officials in hopes of some devine intervention to make the person she is praying for do something that she wants them to do. She does so to avoid having to *do* anything herself. That equates to putting her religion in my government. She wants some magical, mythical sky fairy to intervene and do her job for her.

Think of the guy who prays all day, every day, for a job, yet he never goes out and actually *seeks* a job. He just continues to pray, hoping someone will call or show up at his door offering him work. Meanwhile, the phone was shut off last month and he's facing eviction this month. But he keeps on praying...

"Prayer" is a crutch for the weak & lazy. It gives them an excuse to deny & evade their own personal responsibilities.

and Americans United for the Separation of Church and State. I'm an absolutist on the issue.

But her talking about how or why she prays is not an infringement of the first amendment.

As to your calling my posts semi-literate, would you like to list the errors in spelling, usage, syntax, grammar and composition I've made that lead you to that conclusion? Or perhaps you don't know what "semi-literate" means.

35. Perhaps you should look up the word 'literate'?
Here, I'll help:

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
American Heritage Dictionary - Cite This Source - Share This lit·er·ate (lĭt'ər-ĭt) Pronunciation Key
adj.

Able to read and write.
Knowledgeable or educated in a particular field or fields.
Familiar with literature; literary.
Well-written; polished: a literate essay.

n.
One who can read and write.
A well-informed, educated person.

lit'er·ate·ly adv., lit'er·ate·ness n.

I believe the phrase I used was "half literate', not 'semi-literate'. If you're going to quote someone, at least use the right words.

And if she is asked if she prays why can't she say something like she prays that the president will end the war and bring our troops home. Or she prays that he will be held accountable? Or that she prays he develops sympathy for the Iraqis?

She could have said so many other things other than she prays for him. That is probably one of the stupidest things I have ever heard her say.

as an alternative to actually doing their job. Nancy Pelosi has revealed herself as the clueless twit that she is.

Perhaps you missed this?

"Pelosi says Bush has to end the war
By Mike Soraghan
October 07, 2007

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Sunday that Congress cannot end the war in Iraq without President Bush’s approval.

Voters, she told Fox News Sunday, “want it to end and they had expectations that Congress could end it.”

But, she added, “You know we can’t without a presidential signature.”

more effacacious than her current prayers. Oh, and btw, she's on a talk show because she's part of the Government - not because we want or need to hear about who she prays for. Or does she think that her prayers are more important than some other Nancy's? Why not just have someone come out of the audience and tell us about who s/he prays for? It would be about as meaningful. I am so sick of hearing about all their prayers.
