Tweety praises HRC & BO listening to supporters one on one, shows 9 sec clip of Edwards in a crowd..
... and proceeds to criticize Edwards for not listening to a supporter who wishes to discuss AIDS even though Edwards tells her to tell his campaign staff so that he can address her concerns later in a different setting.

Totally disingenuous. Edwards is known to spend an inordinate amount of time shaking hands after each event. However, no candidate can engage each person in an extended conversation when there are hands reaching out all around.

The clip of HRC was an environment where no one else was attempting to engage her, and she was shown in an extended clip 'listening' to a supporter --and then the guests follow that up with saying she took a 'listening tour' and in fact 'listened.'

Same for the clip of Obama.

It just seemed like a hit piece on Edwards. And then to follow up the Edwards' hit with a clip of Fred Thompson making an idiotic statement about worrying about where the food was.

No one has done more 'listening' than Edwards, and if there is a candidate who has listened to and represents the views of the people it is Edwards.

1. Not only did Thompson behave idiotically.....

he looked absolutely horrible. It may have been bad lighting, but geezus he looks bad. So bad that I think it would work against him being elected, unfair though that may be.

Yes, that clip of Edwards was unfair.

2. Well, after all it is Chris Matthews.
Tomorrow it will be someone else to criticize. I pay more attention to my cat, Mr. Kitty, than I do Tweety. What else can we expect from him? He constantly robs himself of any credibility. Split personality, bi-polar, dunce and slobberer. How he still has a spot on televsion beats me.

3. We spent plenty of time with Edwards and even more with Elizabeth
I haven't even seen Her Majesty in Atlanta!

Edwards is here all the time, listening to what people like me have to say:

7. Do we live in the same universe?
He's there slamming the Clintons every day, from my viewing perspective (wants to keep us in Iraq, Clinton sleaziness, she's smart but she has problems; hubris, etc.)
He's there needling Obama--no fight, needs to throw a punch, not savvy politically, he's gonna fizzle.
He's had Edwards and Elizabeth on many times ... twice, I think, on an hour-long college session ... he's in love with Elizabeth and says so often. I've seen him be complimentary often.

If he said something dubious about Edwards, it's pretty equal opportunity: for both the Democratic and Republican candidates (for as manly as he thought Thompson would be at first, he's ragging on him badly now.)

6. Another example of how we are being played.
I can't even express how obscene this is to me. There is no one who gives an audience more one-on-one time than John Edwards. No one. Chris Matthews is full of shit.
