If you remember ,the game of chicken consisted of two drivers, usually brain addled teenagers, driving toward one another, until one "blinks" and gets out of the way... That's what the Evangelical Right is threatening to do if Rude(e) is the nominee... If Rude(e) gets the nomination most of them will blink and vote for him...

I'm not getting my hopes up about a fractured right wing but I do believe as a result of Bush*'s fecklessness there will be a lot less of them...

He was pro choice, pro stem cell research, and pro gay rights before he was against them... His unsteadiness is his Achilles Heal...

2. Well, this certainly involves brain addled groups ....

...but, in my heart of hearts, I believe the insanely religious (right wing) will stay home if Rude(e) is the repuke nominee ... the repukes can't win without the organization and support of the religiously insane right wing (perhaps this is just wishful thinking on my part).

My fear is that everyone (including the dems) will just stay home because they are so disgusted.
