This prick is an embarassment to Canada, but worse than that he's an effective public speaker and has performed over 600 global warming (a skeptics view) presentations over the last decade.

He's also widely published in print media and appears on TV as a pundit and in denial movies (The Great Global Warming Swindle).

This article skewers him over a lawsuit he dropped against a Professor and a Newspaper. His lawsuit was over a letter to the editor the Professor had published that pointed out that Tim Ball's credentials were overstated in the Paper.

Ball sued, and then after the statements of defense were submitted to the court he withdrew the suit! I read the claim, and the statements of defense (linked to in the article). F'n hillareous!

Tim Ball, of University of Winnipeg fame, dropped his libel lawsuit against Professor Dan Johnson and the Calgary Herald this summer. The statements of defense spooked him, apparently. Covering the defense material in court no doubt would have been very embarrassing for the well-known climate change skeptic.

4. Funny thing about Lomborg

is that he isn't by any stretch of the imagination any kind of climate scientist. He is absolutely NOT affiliated with the field in anyway. He is a political scientist and he keeps stepping outside of his field and statistically manipulating data to make meaningless claims.

I mean the guy has been under investigation for scientific fraud because of the nonsense in his error/fraud ridden book "The Skeptical Environmentalist". How people of this sort have any sort of credibility with anyone, I will never know.

The reason he was let off, was basically because they couldn't establish intent to commit fraud, not because there was validity to his bs claims.

..are a mystery to me.

Of course, if you talk to him and his ilk they'll tell you they are motivated by truth and good scientific skepticism, but it's very obvious from their line of discussion and selective presentation of information that they're no different than the carnival barker who promises you will see a man-eating chicken for a price.
