"WE" are not "fighting to rid the world of a dangerous ideology". There are 150,000 American troops sacrificing family, birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, soft beds, home cooked meals, cold beer, and in some cases...the most treasured wealth we in America have.

You, on the other hand, appear to be bloviating in a $2000.00 suit on the floor of the House of Representatives.

What do you mean "we" chemo-sabi

Trying to change the topic again.

"This is a toothless resolution.
This is so much larger than what is going on in any given neighborhood in Iraq.
The very nature of our enemy requires us to look at the larger picture.
Al Qaida operates in over 60 countries.
Resoltuion would put us one day closer to handing Al Q a safe haven.
Then they'll follow us home.
Take the fight to the enemy.
This resolutio is over-politicized.
Time was when politics stopped at the water's edge.
This week's discussion should be about the way through not the way back."

77. Dingle of Michigan
I wish I could support the administration.
He Reviews what has happened thus far.
I understand how important it is to support what our troops are doing.
Unfortunately, the veracity of this administra . . .
I'm against this plan because it is more of the same.
Puts more in harm's way.
Ignores Afghanistan.
NIE says fanatical terrorism has metastized across the globe.
Death of Zarqawi, Bush told us victory is at hand.
It is time that we recognize that our troops are in the middle of a Civil War.
It is time to turn this over to the Iraqis.
It will be settled by the people in the area.
Not America who is increasingly being viewed as inter-lopers.
Debate is the reason Congress exists.
Finding a new way to address issues, because it is clear Bush won't.
His policies have failed.
It is time to make changes.

us "putting up a shield" around their government. What most people from El Salvador remember is the massacres, Duncan, you frickin liar.

It's like verbal hopscotch. I wouldn't buy a watch from this guy even if he worked the part of the flea market that was close to a restroom.

California apologizes for this dirtbag.

86. Rangle - NY
In response to Duncan Hunters cite of MacArthur.
I didn't come here to talk about General MacArthur.
But I guess I knew him better than anyone in this room.
MacArthur left us completely surrounded by the Chinese.
He had to be called back.
Today we have to decide whether this war continues and how many people wiill die.
How many of you would vote differently if your own were at risk in a Draft.
When you go to the hospitals and see people without skulls, you don't hav e to know them to start crying.
But when you look at your own grandchildren and consider them at risk for the same thing, you change.
It is strange that you never heard the President of the Vice-President make a plea to the people of the U.S. Give us your young to do this fight.
They never ask us to sacrifice anything.

98. Are we trying to bring peace to Iraq?
I thought, it was a front to fight the war on terror, didn't we invite the terrorists to Iraq, remember "bring it on." If we close the borders how will the terrorists get into Iraq? Why are we trying to rebuild Iraq and bring peace, if we want to fight our war there and not here, do our leaders honestly believe we can have both - peace and rebuilding and fighting the war on terror - I don't think so.

numbers in their bank balances. Because, really after a certain point, isn't that what the money is to them since they have more than enough already to meet actual needs. Well, that and power.

Waxman and Wheaties - love it.
