I can't believe Jim Bakker is back on TV.

4. Tammy Faye is dead

She was the other half of that scam way back when. I remember catching their show back in the 80s and being astounded by the level of...I'm not really sure what to call that combination of histrionics, religious ferver, and sales pitch. They were selling some kind of time share in a bible theme park if I remember correctly.

By the way, have you ever noticed that televangelists, Fox Noise people, and the folks on QVC all kind of look alike?

You know the kind of mayo-on-white-bread folks that get antsy when they're the only white folks in the room or the kind of white that thinks it's unfair that there is no "white history month."

Well, not really white--something else. They have this overdressed, over-groomed look. And there's a fake quality to them that I can't quite put my finger on.

Yeah, I guess you're right. It is kind of creepy at times.

Just a side note. Ever read Brett Eston Ellis' "American Psycho"? The title character is one of those Republican Wall Street power yuppies. The book has a running theme with people (title character included) getting them confused and names mixed up as they all look alike in that "over-groomed" perfectionist way. It's that kind of right-wing look-alike I think you're aluding to.
