Don't think I'm returning to my fav hamburger joint.
OK, there are two reasons - one is all the darned hamburger being recalled. Actually, I do know of a place that grinds their own burger. Maybe if I get a real hankering I can go there, watch them grind it and grill it myself. ;)

I digress. The other reason I won't be returning is that on their little neon menu this weekend it said:

Pit special
Pit deluxe
Crab/Corn Chowder
Chicken Ceasar Salad
High school sundaes
Communism doesn't work because people like to own stuff

Do you see anything wrong with what they're offering for lunch?

I erased it. Didn't see a marker to write something different.

I figure some kid or waitstaff went haywire with the pen. I think it's strictly local.

13. the Concord Pike Pit?
Haven't been there in years. Used to go all the time when I was in high school.

But that was many, many, many years ago.

Their sundaes were wonderful.

37. Whataburger
There is one in Newport News, VA. It is a small shack that only serves burgers, hot dogs, fries/onion rings and sodas. Shuts down in late October and reopens in early May. Don't think it is part of a chain thought.

I've been there a couple of times, but many years ago (on business). Great burgers and shakes in a retro atmosphere.

12. No. They let someone at the schools decide what these
Sundaes will contain. They're named after the school and their mascot. The Green Dragon is a favorite - vanilla ice cream, bananas, wet nuts, chocolate and marshmallow syrups. I think they had one at one time called a Blue Hen, for the UofD that had blueberry topping, etc.

They don't make you mess up on spelling, but maybe they do give you jittery sugar-high fingers for typing though ;)

greed and corruption will always try to stop the socialist movement(communist too) if it cant be stopped , they(rightwing) just hijack it with extreme beliefs and quietly push fascism into place.

35. Because that is the most common insult....
hurled at liberals by the mindless Republicons in this country who have caused so much damage to it.

I would have fucking walked out the door. Not because I'm a Communist, but because of the underlying theme in that sentence: "Liberals suck."

17. Well, since I agree that communism doesn't work
I wouldn't have a problem eating there.

A capitalist economy with proper regulation of business, good social programs like healthcare, and adequate safety nets for everyone who needs them is what I support.

In fact, I think communism SUCKS.

7. I guess it depends on how you want to look at it.
Considering the level of consumerism in the U.S., that statement is probably true, at least where the U.S. is concerned. There isn't much danger in communism taking hold here anytime soon.

It insults people who decide to take an interest in a particular political group. I would be turned off by a restaurant that thinks it's cool to insult anyone (except Repukes because they are sadists), whether or not it was me.

20. Not only that but what was the pressing urgency to the message
that made it necessary to put it on a menu? Are we being threatened by commies? Did I miss another missile crisis? It seems, more than anything, a totally superfluous thing to advertise.

31. It's served like this...
First, they ask for some proof of income. If you earn more than $400,000 a year, you get a lavish dinner for free. If you earn between $100,000 and $400,000, you pay $15 and a grumpy, ugly waiter gives you a burger, fries, and a soda. If you earn less than $100,000, they beat you up, grab whatever money you have with you and throw you out on the sidewalk.

And if you earn less than $40,000, they throw you a bit farther, on the traffic.

If you think that weird menu message indicates the owner is a rightist asshole with a chip on his shoulder, it DOESN'T MEAN YOU THINK COMMUNISM WORKS!

Now stop falling for the fallacy and go in peace.

Edit: you know what that menu is? FLAMEBAIT. And flamebait is NOT good. By not going there, the OP is just following the good old principle: Don't feed the trolls.
