I guess as Attorney General they would side with murderers?

Prosecution of doctor questioned by Foti’s opponents

Published: Oct 8, 2007

Attorney General Charles Foti Jr. faces two rivals in his re-election bid, with his pursuit of criminal charges against a New Orleans doctor in the deaths of patients after Hurricane Katrina figuring prominently in the race.

Foti, who relied on experts from the University of Pennsylvania, New York State Police and others, disputed the criticism.

He said five experts concluded there was probable cause to pursue homicide charges against Pou. He noted that Orleans Parish District Attorney Eddie Jordan declined to ask any of the five to appear before the grand jury.

“I did my duty, which I was obligated to do under the law,” Foti said.

1. Those medical workers
were heroes. I still can't believe they were put through all that. If I was dying unless I was hooked to the ventilator in that situation I hope will all my heart that someone would put me down as it would be the kindest thing they could do instead of letting me gasp for air in misery as I croaked.
They were aquitted of doing that but if they did I praise them for their mercy.

2. I agree..they were put in circumstances that could have been
avoided had the US government done it's job. Who really knows what happened...with no running water....minimal staff...supplies running low....many of the patients were dying just from the environment....

I don't know what I would do in that situation so I sure as hell wouldn't judge those that were there.

3. Well it's law enforcement's job to judge what they did
and Eddie Jordan sabotaged the case every chance he got.
