Wingnuts planning counter-protest in Washington on 3/17...well maybe?
Occasionally I do a quick checks on the latest puke propaganda and came across this Freeper post which speaks of a "massive" counter protest in Washington D.C. on March 17/18. Named Operation Defend the Troops (at least by this person). I goggled it and only found this singular post in reference. So it may be nothing - but wanted to put it on the DU radar anyway.

This poster mentions a few anti-war rallies coming up in places such as L.A. Seattle, Chicago with rethug contacts who plan to stage (anti)anti-war rallies in response to the will of We The People.

I have not the clue if the mentioned counter protest in Washington on 3/17 has any legs to it, but considering that the HUGE anti-war rally in Washington on January 27 drew hundreds of thousands of people and in response - - - maybe there were 50 or less folks supporting BushCo?

March 19th will mark the 4 year anniversary of the Iraq War disaster and there will be countless protests recognizing this immoral war of aggression from coast to coast (including in Washington D.C). Here is one of many links listing rallies/marches to oppose the continued insanity:

1. If they're so happy to "defend the troops", why are they so reluctant to JOIN the troops?

3. I've always contended
the best way to support the troops is to join them. But I've failed miserably in convincing flag waving bush supporting cowardly bastards to sign up. What the fuck do I know, I only served 24 years so cowardly conservatives could enjoy their constitutional liberties while working to take such liberties away from others.

My hate is rational.

The last big anti-Iraq war rally/march I attended was in Portland Oregon. At the head of the march, were veterans - and in front of them was carried a large banner which read Iraq Veterans for Peace.

Thanks BOSSHOG for serving this country both as a soldier and as a concerned citizen who "gets it."

peace~

2. Defend the Troops? By sending more of them into harm's way
with no plan, no goal, no reason. A bunch of chickenshit cowardly chickenhawks taking to the street blathering on about their support of failure because they are too proud to admit they have been terribly wrong for the past four plus years. "Conservatives" - domestic enemies of our constitution and they prove it every day of their worthless, ignorance loving lives

4. How many Porta-Potties are they ordering up?
Given the ratio of 10 PP's to 1 Pro-Warrior, I think that will give us a good handle on the expected crowd.

7. Maybe we should tip off the recruiters so they can plan massive requiting drives those days
They could set up kiosks on the National Mall and other locations where the protest is scheduled and sign these defenders of the troops up.

9. Put some skin in the game motherfuckers
We'll give you the buddy program. You and all your little cowardly bastard buddies can serve together.

What's that? You all have anal cysts? Its passed on from fuckwad to fuckwad? Intense cowardice and fake patriotism are obvious signs of this disease. I'll guess you all will have to grow into old republicans.
