When Should President Gore Announce?
When should President Gore announce his run for the nomination as the Democratic Nominee? 4th of July?

Remember: History will record that George Bush didn't stop Al Gore from becomming President, he only delayed it and in the process strenghtened Mr. Gore's Presidency. It is the only thing good that will ever be recorded as part of bush's legacy.

3. or to officially make it clear, so there are no misunderstandings, and people
will finally take him at his word, that he is not running in 2008.

4. After he wins the Nobel Peace Prize in October.
I know it's late...but I'm assuming his supporters are already scurrying around laying the groundwork. (IE: money.)
I'll donate to any Re-Elect Gore site ya got.

5. As soon as Hillary screws up -- and she will
but no later than the beginning of the summer. I doubt he'd do it at the Oscars. I don't think he should wait as late as the Nobel announcements.

I want him to get in before everyone spends all the money they're going to spend and before all of the big campaign people are taken up by other campaigns.

10. Cool!
Didn't know that, gives me something to point my father to when he asks what he should get me.

That makes two reasons to announce on that date then!

7. I hope my suspicion of an Iran assault is unfounded, but if Bush is
stupid and immoral enough to launch an attack on Iran, Gore should announce a few days afterward, on grounds that the people's office is not to be used as a launching pad for mindless aggression, of the sort exhibited by the Bush administration.

Bush's toadies stole the 2000 election from Al Gore. Gore has reason to want the job he rightly won.

11. I will leave it up to Al's judgment, I'm ok with it whenever he is, with
one small caveat. If I were him I would not announce it at the Academy Awards Ceremony, if he does, I believe the mass corporate media will eventually use it against him. This is of course assuming An Inconvenient Truth wins as best documentary, which considering this movie may save life as we know by changing so many attitudes, I believe it should.

14. I think the fall would be good -- September/October
Before the Nobels are awarded (so he'll be a candidate if/when he receives the Peace Prize) but not too late to have a few months to law some groundwork in Iowa, Nevada, NH and SC.
