1. Go Mittens!
I want him to win the nom so bad I'm shaking!

The MINUTE he is announced, I will personally lead an effort to inform the entire country about what he did to his family dog back in the 80s. He will never escape it, America loves dogs too much. His name will be synonymous with Michael Vick.

4. Im actually predticting Giuliani, with Huckabee a close second.
I think the republicans will be smart enough to elect someone who has a chance of winning, and will contain their fetish and gay fetish this time around. But if there fetish and gay fetish gets too big, Huckabee will win the nomination and he will be an easy guy to beat, especially with his stupid "fair tax" plan and the fact he doesnt believe in evolution. The reason I believe huckabee might win the nomination is he is a great speaker, and comes across as "charming" and is able to hide how extreme he is.

5. You have to look carefully at the support base.....
1. Romney - his own piggy bank
2. Giuliani - big business
3. Thompson - Neo-CON
4. Huckabee - religious and center

Looking at it that way. You come up with Thompson/Giuliani tied(debates may change that) and Huckabee a not so darkhorse. One in fact that big business could get behind. I think mainstream business has had their fill of Neo-CONS and so even tough Thompson the anything for a price lobbyist was their 'boy' they realize that he is already bought. Business is not happy with the war, the deficit, and especially the growth rate of the federal bureaucracy.

But all of it is academic if the Democrats don't put another Dukakis up!

...those are my opinions, if you disagree, don't bother arguing my points post a theory of your own.

6. Mitt will win by default.
The others will cancel each other out. Jeb will be the VP. He will lose the General because most of the RW Fundies won't vote for him or not vote at all.

Bush family hedges its bets for 2008
By Alexander Bolton
March 26, 2007

Much of Jeb’s inner circle has picked Romney. The list includes Sally Bradshaw, who served as Gov. Bush’s campaign manager in 1994 and 1998 and as his first gubernatorial chief of staff; Ann Herberger, who was the governor’s campaign finance director; and Mandy Fletcher, who recently headed Bush’s think tank, Foundation for Florida’s Future, and worked on his reelection. In addition, Alan Philp, Bush’s former policy director, is coordinating policy and issues for Romney.

Jeb Bush’s former lieutenant governor Toni Jennings, Al Cardenas, who served as Florida GOP chairman under Jeb, David Griffin, who headed Jeb’s second -term transition office and was the Florida Lottery Secretary, Sherri McVay, executive director of Jeb’s statewide advocacy council, and Kristy Campbell, the former governor’s press secretary, are all playing roles in Romney’s campaign.

7. Most likely Rudy,
but I can't even conceive of a scenario in which any Repuke candidate wins, especially if the Religous Right runs a third party candidate. They can kiss 2008 goodbye.

14. I'm about as cynical, skeptical, fatalistic and
nihilistic as anyone in this world, and even in spite of that, I cannot conceive of any scenarion in which Rudy wins, even with corruption, without the support of the religious right.

Furthermore, if he does, we'll know it's a fraud, and it will be time for us to dispense with our traditional notions of what it means to live in the United States.

8. The White Guy
You know, the one backed by big money, big business, lunatic dispensationalists, and with one or more ex-wives, girlfriends, and bad hair.

Or The Mormonator 5000. I think he's really some kind of latter-day robot.

9. If Rudy wins the GOP will implode.
Absolutely fucking implode. Rudy is pro-choice, and the GOP base doesn't even think contraception should be legal- much less abortion.

12. One of two things will happen: Either the GOP will completely fall apart
or the lie of the omnipotent "values voter" will be shown as the bullshit corporate media sham it is.

Or both.
