Yet another republican yanked out of the the closet...err...bathroom stall
Joey DiFatta resigns in another Republican toilet episode

October 6, 2007

Louisiana - Republican Councilman Joey DiFatta, who on Thursday withdrew from his Senate campaign, has been stopped twice since 1996 for suspicion of engaging in lewd behavior in public restrooms in Jefferson Parish, reports The Times-Picayune.

In one police report it shows that DiFatta was watching "a man use the bathroom while peering through a hole in a bathroom stall." Another says "DiFatta slid his foot into the deputy's stall and tapped the deputy's foot"

Just hours before the story appeared in the Times-Picayune, DiFatta called local reporters to announce that he would withdraw from the senate race because he had been having chest pains and "might have had a minor heart attack in the past few days."

The deputy inside the stall, Detective Wayne Couvillion, responded by tapping his foot, and DiFatta reached under the partition and began to rub the deputy's leg, the report states.

The detective asked DiFatta, "What do you want?" according to the report, and he replied, "I want to play with you."

1. Does love have to start in a stinky place?
Or is there something about these public figures' need to keep their anonymity that forces them to look for action in the restroom?

2. Tap, there goes another Republican. Oops there goes another Republican.
When troubles call, and your back's to the wall (or stall)
There's a lot to be learned, that wall could fall

'Cause he had high hope, he had high hopes...

Tap, there goes another Republican.

3. There are more pressing issues happening than, yet another sick Republican.

I realize that gossip is all the rage, now that the political hate-mongers have set this stage. But, I am fucking SICK of it because the gossip diverts our attention from far more important matters that impact ALL OUR LIVES.

This petty political stoning shit must end at some point. Why can't WE be the ones who end it and focus on more substantial issues?

WHY NOT?

What more substantive issues are at hand, you might ask.

FISA
Turkey unilateral excursions into Iraq
U.S. NUKES being thwarted from exportation
The U.S. economy taking a nose dive
U.S. dollar tanking
U.S. debt escalating
Iran
U.S. utilities soaring
Boeing's delay
IRAQ IRAQ IRAQ
U.S. poverty DOUBLING
Unions taking a stand!!!!!

I do not give a rat's ass about any individual's sickness except the CIC controlled by interests that KILL PEOPLE, mine and yours and theirs!!!!

4. I agree that those are all very pressing matters,
Edited on Wed Oct-10-07 04:49 PM by ripple
but I can certainly walk and chew gum at the same time.

As long as the republican party continues to use people like me to exploit religion and fear, while diverting attention from the very serious matters you mention, I will continue to point out their hypocrisy every time I happen across it.

If you don't approve of that, so be it. Thanks for the kick, though.

Edited to add that I don't think the guy is sick, as you indicate. Instead, he's likely gay or bisexual. Neither constitutes an illness.
