Thompson's smackdown of Chris Mathews which I thought was deserved. It was in fact the only thing Thompson said all evening I agreed with. I thought it was very impertinent of Mathews to say to Thompson he would have been better off to just say no instead of giving his explanation..Mathews is an ass IMO.

and I am sure Thompson's staff were livid.

But I think he regretted the comment immediately. The camera panned to him either as he said it or immediately after. He did look regretful - like he said it without thinking.

No excuse, however.

I've said this for years. His whole speech pattern, even his exclamation "HA" is indicative of problems underneath, and he, in general, sucks the big one.

3. I agree with you for the most part. He lets his partisan beliefs get in his way

He actually admitted to such over the weekend in a book interview. He says he knows he needs to be a better listener - and less of a talker. He admits to "listening with his mouth".

As to getting in trouble - yes - there is some really thin skin running around these days. I was clobbered twice yesterday as posting something that was offensive to a poster. I really think this person does a key word search of the threads to uncover terms objectionable to a personal cause.

4. I believe that they're disruptor trolls

and it's really very clever if you think about it. It's sort of jiu-jitsu...using our righteousness against us. Obviously if you pst like a Freeper you'll be tomb-stoned in no time, so what they're doing, IMO, is coming at us from the righteous left and clobbering us.
