Weird dream last night.
I had a weird dream last night.

I was traveling with my family through Washington DC when we found ourselves walking the halls of Russell Senate Office building and we happened to stroll past Ted Kennedy's office.

I went in and dragged along my Dad, who's been dead for 10 years now. We found the senator changing into a jogging suit but when he saw me in uniform, he asked: "Have we appropriated enough money for all your military programs? What else can I do for you?"

(Strange, right? Senator Kennedy jogging?)

My Dad, who was fairly conservative, sat down and just started grilling the hell out of Ted. At one point, he looked at me and gave me a thumbs up (?) and went back to the conversation. By the end of the dream, we were outside of the building, passing our cameras to a passerby, leaning up against a big black SUV, my Dad's arms around the shoulders of Ted, both getting photographed and smiling ear to ear.

WTF?

3. Your dad is proud of you for standing up and working for what's right
As for Kennedy, maybe it's a clue (could be from your subconscious) that you can work through the progressive dems.
I have no ideas on the jogging.

5. Jogging could = 'run'
Perhaps OP should be considering entering the political arena on a more visible level?

We need new DEM candidates at all levels to get things turned around in America. School Boards are much more important than most people realize. The RW took over LOTS of school boards in the past few decades. School kids lost ground.

7. I've actually thought about it.
When I retire from military service in 15 years or so, I might run for office. Either that or take up a job as a fly fisherman.

9. Hmm, politics or fly fishing....
You could do both! There are some similarities and the differences would be refreshing too.

4. Sometimes, a dream is just a dream
sometimes, maybe a message from ourselves or ...

Am thinkin' maybe your dad's politics have changed since his view got, ahem, changed, broadened, and unencumbered by the limits of the flesh.

Savor the warmth of the dream. Whatever else it may mean, it was time well spent. And tell your dad 'thank you' - just do it when no one else is around. Lots of people get edgy about talkin' to dead guys.

Subconscious or paranormal, you got a gift. It's gonna be a good day for you.

8. mabye...
the dream is trying to put to rest unresolved issues between you and your father. Ted Kennedy represents you and the jogging suit signifies you running away rather than dealing with the differences your father and you had. It seems that in the end your dad is okay with you and what you stand for and is proud of you.

12. Ted is looking VERY good lately. Victoria has him on a diet, I think.
So the jogging suit might not be so far off!

Or maybe you were channeling Fat Al Sharpton (remember when he used to wear those outfits?) and your signals got crossed!!!!
