never happened before - iceberg near coast of S. Africa

http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/index.php?smp=&lang=eng

An iceberg, 25 meters in length and 20 meters in height, has been spotted off the Indian Ocean shore in southern South Africa on Monday, described by local experts as an unusual scene. The iceberg, floating 35 nautical miles southeast of St Francis Bay, Eastern Cape Province, was spotted at around 6 p.m. (1600 GMT) on Monday by those aboard a fishing vessel. "This is very unusual and in fact we don't know of anything in recent history that has being reported this close to South African waters," Craig Lambinon, spokesman of the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI), was quoted as saying. Lambinon said maritime authorities were taking the report " quite seriously" and the maritime radio services were broadcasting a warning to vessels in the area. The situation would be monitored throughout the night to try to determine the direction and speed of the drift of the iceberg. )

3. I can almost hear the freepers now...
"Ice...off the coast of South Africa...see, there's no global warming. The ice is spreading".

Only all the big words would be spelled incorrectly.

5. Man, that site is amazing, and a little ominous...
It catalogs the current word-wide health and environmental incidents which are life-threatening. It does this in real-time. According to the site there's some intestinal ailment afflicting half the population of some small rural school right here in Ohio. Red-tide in Daytona beach area. NEATO!

6. That site should be titled EVERYBODY PANIC
What seems weird is that they report on vehicle crashes along with all the other major stuff.

Plus, Mt. St. Helens appears to be erupting again.

8. I'm surprised some company hasn't corralled
that bad boy, so it could sell the water at a nice expensive price. There are plenty of uber rich people who would pay the price to drink iceberg water.
