2. Oh where are the terra-ist hijackers when you need them?...
... or maybe it's against the international terrorist code of conduct to attack republican strongholds. Either way, if there's going to be a "next 9/11," I can think of worse places for it to occur.

6. I'd settle for another of Bush's faux alerts
You should check out the schedule. Here's a sample (note the voter registration one, that's scary):

Breakout Sessions

Christian Students, the University of Babylon, and the Fiery Furnace: Surviving and Thriving in America's Most Repressive Atmosphere

Confirmed Speaker: David French, Director of Center for Academic Freedom, Alliance Defense Fund

David French will expose the atmosphere of repression and censorship for Christian students on campus and outline the multiple threats to their basic rights of free speech and free association. In the first part of the 21st century, the very existence of Christian student groups on campus is imperiled and some Christian students are even being required to advocate for leftist policies before they can receive a degree. But while administrators and faculty are too often against Christian students, the law still protects free speech, freedom of conscience, and free association. French will describe how students can fight, win, and begin to change the campus culture.

Religious Liberty: What Every Values Voter Needs to Know, But is Afraid to Ask

Confirmed Speakers: Ben Bull, Chief Counsel, Alliance Defense Fund Jordan Lorence, Senior Attorney, Alliance Defense Fund

Ben Bull and Jordan Lorence, will discuss current threats to religious liberties in America and what's being done to protect them. Topics Will include: The fight against censorship of Christian and pro-life students at public schools; the battle for "equal access"; Rights of churches to rent government meeting rooms on the same terms as other community groups; the effort to protect pro-marriage business owners and professionals in the marketplace from legal attacks by homosexual activists; and the latest Supreme Court cases of importance for the family and for religious liberties.

***

Organizing a Voter Registration Drive

Confirmed Speaker: Dr. Kenyn Cureton, Vice President for Church Ministries, Family Research Council

Attendees will participate in practical training on how to host a Christian Citizenship Sunday, with particular focus on a step by step strategy for conducting a non-partisan voter registration drive. Participants will also receive a Voter Impact ToolKit ($20 value), filled with user-friendly resources, such as: Citizenship message helps for pastors, full color bulletin inserts, 50 voter registration forms within an easel, helps on legal do's and don'ts, a poster for promotion, a feature rich CD-Rom that has all the documents in PDF form for further duplication, graphics for promotion, and a brief video message from Tony Perkins on the importance of voting your values, and much more.

7. You know, in all my years of political involvement...
...I've never seen this type of coherent, fool-proof, templatized approach to voter registration on the progressive side. It's all together in one place. No need to know what you're doing; just read the manual and get busy.

This is a kind of marketing that I would hope the good guys pay attention to.

Of course, this all takes a considerable amount of money. Maybe Hillary could come off of a little of that $63 million she's glommed from her adoring corporate sponsors in just the first half of the year and do some actual good for a change.

Nah... Hillary and progressives are like cobras and mongooses (mongeese?). Nothing in common except mutual loathing.

8. That's what I found scary
That and the "non-partisan" crap.

They're revving up their voter factory and getting the new crews trained. They're getting their voters lined up for primary season and beyond. We need to be doing the same on a national scale.

We really need to be keeping an eye on them and what they are up to.

10. If you go, let us know
It would be worth it to just stop by and see what's laying around. I'm sure they'll have a lot of leaflets and other materials that would of interest.
