Abortion lasted a long time to attract Pubs to the polls. Then there was the unethical Democrats barage. Then it was Gay marriage.
The two focuses, I think, the GOP will use this time around are to paint the picture of Clinton representing "Lack of Freedom" or "Slavery". This depends on Clinton winning the nomination which I expect. Obama sure had a prescient idea airing the 1984/Clinton video.
The other is the Dems as "do nothing". The argument will be: "Sure we didn't do anything but the democrats did less." Sounds familiar.
Neither of these will keep dems from winning in Congress and likely the Presidency. And it is not because Democrats are doing something newsworthy but they do more than the Republicans did.
Nothing is going to get the Pubs out to vote unless they feel threatened by something. The country no longer trusts The GOP can solve their problems domestic or foreign. They pretended they were superior. The scandals have ruined this image completely.
If Democrats win next year. We will expect a pullout. But when will we get one? 2013?
The next year is going to be really interesting!
