Before the war, there were a lot of predictions as to what would happen.

The neocons predicted of course that we'd be showered in candy....

For those even slightly aware of Iraq's demographics and history the following were predicted:

A civil war was one of the greatest fears.

Iran would emerge as stronger regional power.

US troops would be stuck in a quagmire.

The US would receive little to no international support in fixing the mess the it caused.

There would be mass killings - may as well just cause it ethnic cleansing.

There would be an increased presence (there was no significant Al Qaeda presence when Saddam was in power) of foreign terrorists.

Ultimately, the Turkey invasion would officially make this a regional war.

3. And the kicker: the admin is already gearing up to blame a
Turkish invasion on the congress voting to label the Ottomans genocidists for what they did almost 100 years ago. What I don't get though, is why did the congress take this up as an issue now?

5. Thanks for the link......I think. I guess we don't want Turkey for an
ally anymore? We're going to support an independent Kurdistan instead? Is that part of the genocide vote? Picking more fights? My head hurts.:banghead:
