Just in from Al
I am deeply honored to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. This award is even more meaningful because I have the honor of sharing it with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change--the world's pre-eminent scientific body devoted to improving our understanding of the climate crisis--a group whose members have worked tirelessly and selflessly for many years. We face a true planetary emergency. The climate crisis is not a political issue, it is a moral and spiritual challenge to all of humanity. It is also our greatest opportunity to lift global consciousness to a higher level.

My wife, Tipper, and I will donate 100 percent of the proceeds of the award to the Alliance for Climate Protection, a bipartisan non-profit organization that is devoted to changing public opinion in the U.S. and around the world about the urgency of solving the climate crisis.

Thank you,

Al Gore

What a man!

10. That's the banjo Rudy plunks, alright.
He was through in politics until 911 resurrected his sorry 'career', then he had one good day when he wasn't a complete jerk and now he's running on the terra party line.

12. He's not too stiff when he speaks extemporaneously
Get rid of the handlers and advisors and let him say what he really thinks. Then, count the votes. He'd win!

15. I know what you mean
I was at a party last summer when a man told me that he could not vote for John Kerry in the last election because he was terrible at expressing himself.... I said, "So you voted for George Bush because what? He's such an eloquent speaker?" After the host pried my fingers off this a**hole's neck, I excused myself and left. I usually have very nice manners, but stupidity drives me CRAZY.

17. Repugs obviously do prefer the stupid looking.
But I would not describe Al as geeky.

18. That would be their interpretation. Not mine.
Remember, they don't like educated people.

To me, geeks are people with a love of technical learning. I think Al has gone way beyond that definition.

13. Already done.
I wrote to him 2 years ago and told him I would work for him if he decided to run. No one else gets that commitment from me. No one is better prepared or more qualified to be POTUS than Al Gore.
