4. Sure they will. They'll just row their boats right across the ocean
One of these days everyone will figure out that the odds of dying in a terrorist attack are less than that of dying in a car accident. Then all this "fear mongering" will vanish.

Oh for rationality to again rear its pretty head!

as if Viet Nam could invade the U.S. and take it over.

I laughed in his face and he kinda looked embarrased.

9. How stupid are the morons who are recipients of this kind of logic?
These Republics seem to have 2 major points-

(1) We need to stay to help the poor people of Iraq rebuild their society.
(2) We need to stay to kill the Iraqi terrorists.

Wasn't Hussein was busy killing all of these crazy religiouis Iraqi's? I seem to recall he was a godless secularist. I don't remember that he was blowing up the country to accomplish that task. I don't remember his creating millions of refugees in the process, either.

17. You are correct.
They managed to survive OK. We lost, but the big fear was communist domination, remember? Last time I checked, SE Asia is a thriving capitalistic region.

The Republics are so full of crap. They fear an end to their GWOT. Having the soldiers come home and voice their true opinions and having things actually calm down in the ME without our direct interference will be the reality they don't want to confront. Much better to keep our troops in Iraq to rot for their political benefit.

Wait until 2008....lets open up those secret energy policy meetings which was where the plan was hatched for privitazing the Iraqi oil. Eventually, everyone will know what the invasion of Iraq was all about. It wasn't WMD, it wasn't evil Hussein, it wasn't a Democracy experiement...it was an oil grab for the backers of the Republican Party.

16. Terrorists aren't lost puppies
If you took a minute to check out the history of bin Laden and what he was trying to do, Mr. Boehner, you'd realize that, to a great extent, we have already done the thing for which bin Laden demanded. We got out of Saudi Arabia. As an added bonus, we took out a Middle Eastern secular leader who hated bin Laden and the fundamentalists and have so destabilized the place that it has degenerated into a civil war. The US as it is becomes a great recruiting tool--not for people to destroy the US, but for people to infiltrate non-fundamentalist governments to keep them from being like the "decadent" US and have things like, say, democracy, or freedom of speech or religion.

19. Didn't they come "over here" twice before we even started?
And that didn't even have anything to do with Iraq.

And thanks to dimwit Bush, the whole WORLD hates us now. So if they do "follow us home", the only one to blame is dumbass W.

Iraqis are entering U.S. through Mexico
Iraqis are entering U.S. through Mexico
Most are Chaldeans; smuggling probed
By Sandra Dibble

December 28, 2006

TIJUANA – U.S. and Mexican immigration agencies are investigating the arrival of small groups of Iraqis at the border in the past week and their possible connection to smuggling organizations.

Baja California agents and Mexican federal immigration officers found a group of four Friday night at a Tijuana hotel. In addition, two groups of about two or three Iraqis turned themselves in earlier this week to U.S. inspectors at the San Ysidro and Otay Mesa ports of entry, asking for political asylum.

“We've continued to see a steady trickle of Iraqis coming into the United States through Mexico, requesting asylum once they're in the United States,” said Lauren Mack, spokeswoman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in San Diego.

The vast majority of Iraqis who show up along the California border are members of the Chaldean Christian minority who are drawn by San Diego's sizable Chaldean community. Their numbers today are nowhere near those of six years ago, when Tijuana was a major transit point for Chaldeans trying to get to the United States.
