Nobel is sweet revenge for Gore, blow to Bush
Edited on Fri Oct-12-07 04:47 PM by siri2k
From CLG:

Nobel is sweet revenge for Gore, blow to Bush 12 Oct 2007 Call it Al Gore's revenge. The Nobel Peace Prize he won on Friday was a blow to U.S. President George W. Bush and his widely criticized environmental policy and will long be savored by the man who lost the bitter 2000 presidential election by a whisker (won the 2000 presidential contest), but was denied the victory in the first GOP coup d'etat). :grr: Right, we could have had an Emmy, Academy Award and Nobel Peace Prize winner as president -not to mention, the person who was actually *elected.* Instead, we are stuck with a pea-brained dictator, war criminal, terrorist, torturer, Blackwater USA butthead, Halliburton whore and sociopath. --Lori Price

5. To be fair, he didn't win any of that stuff till after the election was stolen.
His biography should be required reading for every bullied schoolchild. Did Al Gore go out and buy guns and off a school? No, he did not!

9. wasn't he kind of busy before that?
you know, senatoring, veeping, running for prez.

oh, yeah, and he also did squeeze in that "Earth In The Balance" book, while he was otherwise occupied with the above duties and endeavors.

a guy who could do all the politicking and manage to write a good book, too, seems like he could do anything while on sabbatical. like winning Emmys, Oscars, Peace Prizes....

8. Gore was not an Emmy, Academy Award and Nobel Peace Prize winner in 2000

Not that he wouldn't have been (sorry, can't think of a big enough adverb) better than what we got, but Candidate Gore was a far cry from the man we see today. Today's Gore is truly one of my heroes, while Gore 2000 was a barely adequate nominee.

running against Gore.
Gore, on his worst day, was a better candidate than Bush - six ways from Sunday.

14. Yep, the election shouldn't have even been close

And Gore has to share some of the blame for that.

11. being the incumbent VP
has its pitfalls as a position from which to run for POTUS.

Maureen Dowd and the MSM didn't help much either.

13. Fuck Maureen Dowd -- what a worthless waste of hair dye

I'll never forgive her for the shit she threw at Gore. And she's warming up to do it again to whomever we nominate.

15. she gives new meaning to the term
"red-headed stepchild"

NB: no actual offense to redheads or stepchildren should be taken from snarky reference to M. Dowd.

12. I really don't think
idiot-boy really gives anywhere near a crap for any stinkin' Nobel Peace Prize. It's just some Euro-Trash BS, anyway.

(Since I don't use emoticons, this statement stands as a sarcasm thingy.)
