12. Please.
You say that as if it isn't true. Not about his friend but that there aren't fascist elements in the police forces in 'Murica

10. "Samuels didn't know he was walking into a meth lab the morning of Jan. 17"
http://www.drug-rehabs.org/con.php?cid=1670&state=Kansas

Kansas witness is not guilty of murder
A jury clears Matt Denny of murder charges in Sheriff Matt Samuels' death, but convicts him on drug charges.

snip

Samuels didn't know he was walking into a meth lab the morning of Jan. 17.

When Samuels went to the home of Darrell and Belinda Cooper in the secluded woods of the Hilltop area in Greenwood County, he was going to serve some warrants for Scott Cheever.

Cheever was wanted for failure to appear in court on a forgery charge and absconding on his parole.

In his own defense, Denny testified that he didn't know Cheever was planning to brew meth when they drove out to the Cooper house. But that's where he ended up. Denny also put himself standing near the meth lab in a loft, when he said Samuels walked in and Cheever fired two shots from the stairway.

4. I am sorry about your loss, Greenbriar.
I am so used to seeing posts about police brutality. Rarely do I read posts about all of the cops who lose their lives in the line of duty.

My brother-in-law works for the sheriffs department and we are always concerned about him. He is the kindest guy and would do anything for other people. We just lost 3 officers here in the last year.

6. Can the Prosecution request a change of venue?
What a loss.

We rail, bitch and moan when the great majority of our Law Enforcement personnel are really good guys.

7. The prosecution is fine with it being in GW county I would think the defense
would want to have it changed, but they refused...

I think they could try to appeal on grounds of unfairness ?

11. A thread about a cop beating somebody up gets 300 replies.
A thread about a good cop doing a good job and dying in the line of fire gets ten.

I am sorry for the personal loss to you and the loss to your community.

I just hope he gets the death penalty

since Matts death

his son has graduated college and is planning to enter law enforcement, but he had cancer when he was young and lost part of his leg so he probably will have to be in house

Matts daughter graduated from High School and became really rebelious I worry about her

15. I don't think the problem is lack of empathy with greenbriar
but that many don't support state sponsored killing and the OP is pretty graphic in that direction.
