In Iran, Putin Warns Against Military Action
<snip>
TEHRAN, Oct. 16 — President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia told a summit meeting of five Caspian Sea nations in Iran today that any use of military force in the region was unacceptable and in a declaration the countries agreed that none of them would allow their territories to be used as a base for launching military strikes against any of the others.

2. I don't trust ANY of them
I think they are all in on this FEAR thing. They all stand to profit, while the people suffer.

3. This signifies very strongly that Russia will back Iran all the way...
in any kind of US/Israel military action against Iran. Seems very dangerous, but it also would seem the only possible way to make the US back down from invading Iran. Now what needs to happen is to have China come out like Russia is now and warn the US in a similar manner.

4. I don't think anything will stop BushCo...they're not fighting, they're not sheding their own blood.
Once the money runs out...we'll be in Iran. ....We have to remember the White House Mafia spreads fear world wide, while selling weapons on the side.

The more countries who get involved fighting, the more countries "America" sells weapons to.

5. not really
Russia is much more rational.

Even though they were rooting for Serbs, they didn't help Serbia when NATO invaded.
Same pattern was during Korean and Vietnam wars.

Russia lost way to many people in WWII to go and fight another.

6. I Wonder if There's Any Possibility
Russia would start basing troops in Iran? That would change the equation.
