Last Night on NBC News
- There was a story about how Ellen Degeneres got a Puppy from some organization, chose not to keep it and gave it away. However per terms of the original agreement she was not supposed to give it away and the original organization took the puppy away from the family Ellen gave it to. On her show yesterday she was quite upset, pleaded ignorance to the caveat, admitted her mistake, asked for forgiveness and solicited a solution to the issue.

- Also, Brian Williams corrected a mistake which had been made earlier in the show when two letters were switched (in an abbreviation or something.) Williams apologized for the error and gave the correct information.

- Apologizing for wrongs, admitting mistakes, correcting or attempting to correct. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS IN CIRCUMSTANCES WHEN THERE ARE NO CONSERVATIVE VALUES INVOLVED.

1. Pretty pathetic when a puppy story gets more time on nightly news
than, oh, eavesdropping on Americans, the illegal occupation, Mukasey's probable confirmation, you get my drift.

2. I was thinking along those same lines
last night when the local news here in Cleveland ran with a story about some poor fellow in Georgia who cannot get on with his life because he suffers from amnesia. Even if it was the real kind and not just the Alberto Gonzalez kind, I thought is that really all that newsworthy?

6. NBC
has a habit (and maybe the others too) of showing things that have been or will soon be on their network, in the guise of news.

4. So the puppy was connected to Blackwater somehow, right?
Serious journalists couldn't possible cover comediennes crying over puppies in lieu of Iraq showing Blackwater the door.

5. This is news why?
I wish our "news" media reported actual news... :(
