Why would Larry Craig lie about not knowing how to use the internets?
This is pretty strange imo; why? I wonder what websites he's visited?

http://thinkprogress.org/2007/10/17/craig-falsely-claims-he-has-never-used-the-internet/

Craig falsely claims he has ‘never used the Internet.’

In his exclusive interview with NBC’s Matt Lauer last night, embattled Sen. Larry Craig (R-ID) claimed that he has “never used the internet“:

Matt, you won’t believe this. But I don’t use the Internet. I don’t have a computer at my desk. I’ve never used the Internet. It’s just not what I do. I e-mail with my BlackBerry. No, I did not know that. I had no reason to know that.

But as the Washington Examiner has discovered, Craig actually has extensive experience with the Internet:

— In an op-ed he wrote this summer on the SCHIP health care program, Craig refers to doing a Google search on the term “mission creep.”

– He’s a member of the Congressional Internet Caucus.

– He co-sponsored a bill designating June 2007 as National Internet Safety Month.

– He was presented with the 2007 Internet Keep Safe Coalition Award.

– On his Web site, he lists as a top accomplishment a Silver Mouse Award given to his site in 2003 and 2006 by the Congressional Management Foundation in 2003 and 2006.

– When he endorsed Mitt Romney for president, he did so on YouTube.

Maybe Craig can give Larry King some tips.

CRAIG UNVEILS NEW “PODCHAT”
One of several new tools to interact with Idaho

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Idaho Senator Larry Craig announced today the addition of several tools to expand opportunities for Idahoans to be involved in the political process. Central to the offering is his new “podchat,” which allows Idahoans to ask him questions and hear his answers in his own voice.

The podchat is a marriage between an online chat and a podcast. Last week, subscribers to Craig’s bi-weekly electronic newsletter “eNEWS” were invited to submit questions to be answered by Craig. Craig recorded the podchat on January 24, 2006, which is available for free on Craig’s website (http://craig.senate.gov/podchat) or through iTunes’ Music Store. Craig will be recording a new podchat each month, and Idahoans are invited to submit questions at http://craig.senate.gov/podchat. Like other content on Craig’s website, the podchats will be available for years to come.

(snip)

In 2003, Senator Craig’s website received the Congress Online Project’s Silver Mouse Award, given to Congressional websites that best met quality standards for content and presentation. In addition to the services mentioned above, Craig’s website also offers a range of other services. Constituents can listen to or watch audio and video clips; read issue briefings, which detail Craig’s views and activities on issues important to Idahoans; send email to Senator Craig; submit casework requests; read or sign up for eNEWS; submit flag and tour requests and applications for internship, page, and academy nominations; and many other services.

14. I guess it never occurred to him that those amazing new-fangled internets
also allow people to instantly fact-check him regarding his use of the internets. This man is criminally stupid. How he got to be a United States Senator is a puzzlement--what the hell is wrong with Idaho?

16. So Matt doesn't know what "cruising" is, Craig doesn't use the internet...
this is from the same people who said Saddam had WMD. I starting to think that if Senators or the Today Show accidentially uttered the truth then they would immediately issue a retraction.

I missed this interview so let me guess what else they said:

ML: Senator Craig, welcome to NBC.
LC: NBC? what's that?
ML: Someone said you were cruising...whatever THAT is.
LC: I don't know what it is either. Why are you asking ME?
ML: Well I thought you might know because I sure don't.
LC: (flustered) Why would I know what cruising is?!
ML: (blushing) well.. me neither! I'm a naive virgin.
LC: Me too! I don't even know what the internet is!
ML: Well don't look at me... I don't go near websites. I'm afraid of spiders.
LC: I have never seen another human being naked.
ML: I have never seen MYSELF naked.
LC: I have never BEEN naked.
ML: I'm wearing two sets of clothing right now just to make sure that I am never naked.
LC: Only 2 sets? How risque! I'm wearing 2 sets of clothing plus a wetsuit.
ML: I'm as neutered as a GI Joe doll.
LC: Did you just tap your foot?
ML: Absolutely not. I had the stage manager glue my shoes to the floor before you came out.
LC: What !?! I have not yet "come out" !
ML: But you're sitting right here.
LC: That's not what I meant. In fact, I don't know what I meant by that statement....

19. I think that explains Larry Craig's behavior - all of it.
Larry Craig obviously enjoys cruising for anonymous sex with other males in airport bathrooms. But he lies about it and claims he does nothing of the sort. He's willing to publicly embarrass himself over and over again pushing his unbelievable version of the events.

The fact that he does this, and his long history of soliciting sex with other men, suggests that he is gay or bi. But he lies about that and claims he is straight. Not only that, he makes a career out of bashing gay people and attempting to legislate against them. He even uses the atrocious phrase "lifestyle" - possibly his absolute worst offense in the eyes of many gay people.

He clearly is quite adept at using the internet, but he lies about that and claims he doesn't use it AT ALL.

And so on and so forth. Not only does he do and say the opposite of the truth, he takes his false actions and lies to great extremes. I don't know what is wrong with Larry Craig, but he's definitely a few bricks shy of a load. He needs serious therapy.
